It's crept up on me... :o( _
PostSubject: It's crept up on me... :o(   It's crept up on me... :o( EmptyMon Dec 06, 2010 10:00 pm

Getting bigly pregnant, bad spd (feel like I've been kicked in my bits) humping and shufting about to get comfy in bed and awful pain on turning... feel useless for bean and generally in that awful place of wishing this time away yet being terrified at the thought of birth and worried about life with a newborn & toddler.

Don't even think I could drive if I tried (hubby has car for work) icy conditions mean I daren't go outside (back garden is all paved / gravel and we live up a hill - could go about 50m then wouldn't risk it any further!) and we have very limited contacts in the area.

Just moving about the house, up down stairs, up&down at floor level etc. is a chore - was doing so well to keep mobile and active, then fall & sickness happened and a couple of weeks later here I am Sad

Ahhh pants. That's all my moans for now. xx

Hubby said something similar last night as I was in my usual agony turning over Rolling Eyes to which I replied that I couldn't wait for a torn/cut vagina, bleeding for weeks and complete exhaustion instead... optimistic eh Laughing

I go between the two though Siobhan - excited at the prospect, trying to imagine a newborn again! - then so much worry of how bean will cope, doing the whole knackered-beyond-belief early weeks, then being home alone with two two of them!! And spd won't clear for a good while either so I know it's going to be longer before I can consider catching up with the little minx again, by which time he'll be 2 and I will have wished away these last couple of months as 'just us' Sad Sad

I think I need chocolate and tea scratch in that order... xx

Aw hun, like Siobhan said only 8 1/2 weeks left.

Although I haven't really got many aches and pains yet the though of another newborn and a VERY demanding toddler is scaring me silly. I'm absolutely petrified about how Libby will take to her new brother, how I'll manage to breastfeed as well as see to Libby's needs, give them both attention and keep them both happy etc etc etc. Laughing

But I am immensly excited that Libby is getting a brother, that they will grow up together and have each other to play with (and probably fight with each other Laughing )

Hope your chocolate and tea helped hun Very Happy xxx

Aw hon. 8.5 weeks til the big pain then another week or two to heal THEN it will all be worth it. Beanie wont hurt for not being able to be picked up for a couple of months as long as he can get his fill of mummy cuddles while you are sat down. Try not to feel too down, sympathies xxx

Am just getting round to the cuppa now susan, nap time - that way I stand a chance of finishing it Smile

The thought of only 8 & a bit weeks scares the crap out of me pale - I've spent precious little time realising I'm actually pregnant, and now I can't exactly miss the bump and huge kicks and shifts about in there Very Happy - or do much without feeling a big heffer - it's pretty hard not to notice! I feel further on - like the last few weeks - I'd be surprised if this little miss doesn't make an early appearance. Although that could be my body playing tricks and the pubic / pelvis pain being confused with that heavy pressure feeling scratch Am getting tired though too - but is that just the lss you do, the less you feel able to?! Started pregnacare to see if it helps any. How you feeling now Mario?

He's more of a kiss-me-quick kind of a bean, time cuddling is time could be spent minxing Laughing so it's not so much the cuddles he's missing as the tumbles / walks / accomplice in his adventures etc. I daren't even let him loose in the back garden for fear of him cracking his head open - it's all icy stone slabs. If we get more snow or lots of rain it might be possible! Before sleeps now he's just been running between empting out his toy basket in his bedroom, lining up toys on our bed foot-end and pushing them off, climbing in the bath, pulling his baby clothes out of a box (in the process of sorting them) and trying to eat or lick soap/shower gel/ bubble bath/ face wash/ mouth wash. Bundle of energy doesn't cover it! Laughing Think we'll have to head out somewhere for a wander tonight, Aldi or somewhere with wide aisles but not too busy. I'll have to waddle along behind...

Have posted a plea for ideas too if you can shed any light! : http://www.babiesandall.com/the-lounge-f4/please-help-with-ideas-t5104.htm xx

Hope you feel better soon - I have actually felt better since 32 weeks than the rest of pregnancy (and than I did in the final weeks last time), but then my grottiness was more tiredness and migraines than physical discomfort.

I was in a lot of pain 2 weeks ago, wondered if baby had engaged, but happened to have a routine MW appt and she said it wasn't engaged but that baby's back was against mine which would be uncomfortable, and a day or so later baby must have shifted again as the pain eased. So the physical discomfort doesn't always get worse...

I'm now more pregnant than I ever was with Seb (who was 4 days early) with absolutely no signs that baby is coming soon, which seems quite odd, as we kind of assumed it would be here around now. 8.5 weeks doesn't sound long, but then nor does 3 days and yet it feels like I'm going to be pregnant forever!!

Ros

PS I don't have any suggestions on amusing a toddler, am also finding it hard, though he is better at sitting and playing than he was a couple of months ago. We go swimming as a family at weekends which we all enjoy.

Oh my goodness Ros - due Tomorrow!!! Shocked Laughing Razz scratch cheers

Aches and pains are bad at night - I wonder why I bother going to be to just wake up all stiff and in pain Laughing but daily big-ness does seem to depend on how little miss is lying - I haven't got much of an appetite until dinner either so generally feel 'comfy' in that respect (i.e. not over-full - I struggle to make myself eat lunch or I'd end up just snacking instead).

I can't afford to wish this time away because I know I'll regret it when the newborn madness and exhaustion hits. It's just so different from first time with just feeling so useless with lifting / bending / walking all limited where bean is concerned.

Pregnancy-wise all seems to be trundling on with nothing too out of the ordinary, it just feels like the third trimester sprang up on me out of nowhere Shocked and I wasn't ready for it Sad Then again, I can't believe I was full time working when I was this pregnant with bean - to 36 weeks & then moved house - bloody nuts. I prefer this state of being I think! xx

P.S. we had a washing up tub with an inch of water in and some bath toys, on a big bath sheet in the lounge today. It was a very mad and wet 5/10 mins Laughing

Yup, due today, and absolutely no signs of baby turning up! Mind you today / tomorrow aren't great from the babysitting point of view, depending partly on what time of day things kick off.

The water play sounds fun - Seb has just worked out how to squeeze his bath ducks to force water out and he finds it hilarious but he hasn't yet worked out how to aim at parents in dry clothing, won't be long I'm sure.....

I'm lucky on the entertainment front that we have quite a lot on that we can walk to - this morning is Sing and Sign class [sure the teacher is going to be disappointed to see me - without a newborn - as last week she seemed convinced I'd have droppd by now!], this pm we're going to one of Seb's friends to play; which hopefully won't be hard work if he doesn't spend the whole time playing with their folding doors, on a previous visit I ended up sitting on the floor with my back against one door and feet against the other. None of the other mothers invited is PG so I'll leave them to do chasing if necessary.

Hey grace
I got some emails coming through to me every day i will try and dig out the address later with ideas in them. TBH c is mostly happy if i let her loose with pens and paper though our fave game at moment is what can we put in the toy washing machine, best so far has been patrick starfish. We also build with sticklebricks and dancing in the bubblemachine is also good though im learning maybe my hips and back dont like me if i pick her up to dance so im now doing kneeling down dancing

More bad weather making us more housebound!! I'd usually get our wellies on and head out but too scared to fall! And this big bump is mighty impressive and putting me off balance Laughing

Can't wait for hubby to finish work so we can get out and bean can have more stimulation / adventures / walks etc.

Will I worry now about heavily pregnant January back on our tod - or leave that until it comes?! xx
