Nursery - what to do? _
PostSubject: Nursery - what to do?   Nursery - what to do? EmptyTue Jun 14, 2011 7:53 pm

We put Chloe's name down for a private preschool as they were full and had a waiting list, thinking that she might get a place from January or April next year, well we've had a letter and they've had a space become available in September and she's been offered it. Now I don't know what do to. She get's her free place from April so would mean paying for it until then, it's not that expensive as it's subsidised so only £14 a session, so would cost us £280 a month

I'm not sure I want to put her in 5 mornings a week yet, when I don't really need to, she currently has two mornings a week at my mums and 2 at MIL's which doesn't cost anything. I do think she'd benefit from nursery though so don't know what to do.

What would you do?

any chance she could just go a couple of mornings and not the full week, get use to it and still have nannys the other times.

i'd probably try to send her a couple of monrings, if i couldnt do that, i maybe wait, shes used to her routine and seeing others.

not much help sorry hun

We are in the same situation, although ours is only £7 per session.

I am putting Aimee in for 2 mornings a week from September to April, and then in April I will do 4/5 mornings a week (when its free).

I would speak to the nursery and tell them of what you are thinking, they may be happy to come to some agreement with you for less hours until she is entitled to her 15 hours

I'd speak to the nursery. See if her place could be put back until the new year at all?

The likely hood is they'll give that place to another child and there will be another one come early next year.

There is no doubt she'll benefit from it.

Or like some others have said what if she only goes part time then from when its free increase her time to 5 half days
