for the 6th night now im doubled over in absolute agony in my abdomen. First i though it must be a kidney infection so rung dr and got some antib's but that was sunday, surely it would be getting better by now?? The pain is in my right, feels like where my ovaries are and goes right into my hip bone and into my back...its like a between a really sharp stabbing pain and a bad ache iykwim, im gonna ring for an app in the morning, but wonderd if anyone had any ideas in the meantime...im actually laid here in tears its that bad x

Hun i hate to say it, but this is exactly what i had and I had appendicitis, and had to have it removed! If it is apendicitis it may feel better for a few hours and then get worse and worse.

The only symptom I had was the pain. and when they operated i had puss all inside my appendix. It's definately worth checking out!

When I had a really bad kidney infection it was more like back pain to start with and surprisingly, no urinary symptoms. It did take a few days to clear up but Sunday to now, you should be starting to feel better.

Your symptoms do sound quite severe and only on one side, I would be worried about appendix too now. Any fever, vomiting, diarrhoea etc?

iv no fever or anything, just the pain really, but like now im fine, a little achey but nothing too bad, and ill be fine all day...its just at night for some reason and the pain only lasts fror between half an hour to an hour, 1-2 times a night...but when it comes it is excruciating!! Verry strange...anyway off to ring gp now thanx ladies x

well went to gp...no sign of infection aparentley, he's given me buscopan (well i was gonna go as i thought i had ibs anyway so 2 birds with 1 stone i suppose) but i dont think ibs is causing this pain at all...ill give them a go, but doubt it will help! He is going to arrange a scan for me so we shall see. Thanx for the advice ladies xx
