PostSubject: Hospital Bag   Hospital Bag EmptySun Jul 10, 2011 7:59 am

We need a sticky for hospital bag, seeing Kat's post i've decided to get my arse in gear and start the bag but can't remember much of what i'm supposed to pack.

I've put in the revised list now this is a sticky Smile

For you:

Maternity Pads
Big knickers
Handheld fan
PJs/Nightie
Toiletries ie: Shower Gel and Shampoo/Hairbrush
An outfit to come home in (joggers and a top)
Breast Pads

For baby:

2 x Vests
2 x Babygro/Sleepsuit
Nappies
Wipes/Cotton Wool
Blanket
Bibs
Scratch Mits
Hat

Perhaps optional:

Hairbrush/hairbands
Lip balm
Make up
Deodorant/perfume
Snacks
Phone charger (some hospitals might not let you use plug in your own electrical equipment though!)
Camera
Pen & paper (F*ck know why lol - I used it to write down the times she had fed and what boob Smile)
Change for payphone for emergency
List of phone numbers for emergency eg partner/family mob numbers

I was just looking through the post that was written when me, Suse, Mario etc were all getting our bags ready and I think we have got most things on the list on this post now, deffo think its worth asking for it to be a sticky though as we have got lots of BANDA babies due in the next few months......ohhhh I miss being pregnant lol!!!!

Ooh thank you, I needed the kick up the bum to get mine sorted! All I've put in thats not on there is toothpaste and a travel toothbrush but i guess that comes under toiletries, antibac handgel as I'm a bit of a worrier like that Embarassed and wet wipes.

How many pj's/nighties did you take? i've got a nightie to give birth in but thats it - do you reckon i'd need more?

Thanks Jade, my hospital's advice is really confusing, one leaflet says one, the other says bring 4?? 4 for goodness sake! And is it normal that i can't fit all this stuff into just one bag? Rolling Eyes

I packed all of the above mostly. and in the end only need a change of clothes a wash bag a nappy and a set of clothes and blanket for H.

I took a suitcase and really did not need it all.

Only take what you really need. wash stuff change of clothes etc. I know you may not be in and out as quick as i was but if you do need extra stuff your OH or family can take back what you've used and bring in more stuff if you need it

^^i remember i packed loads last time my bag was stuffed full, then took loads out cause i realised i was being silly, still had some irrelevant things tho.

Kat - I had a nightie to give birth in and a pair of pjs bottoms &vest top then Matt just bought an outfit from home when it was time for me to go home.
