for swimming?

elijah has been wearing a swim nappy (disposable) and a babywarma but its getting a bit small now and i don't really think he needs it anymore - would you just go for nappy+trunks? or a floatjacket type thing? obviously at least one of us is holding him in the pool, but its never very warm in there so i suppose im thinking more of toastiness...

Izzy has only ever worn her cossie, but the pools have always been warm ones ... I know for sure she'd get cold quite quick in a normal adult one....so if your pool is cold maybe get him a new one?

Imogen has a tankini. It's basically a swimming costume (i don't like little girls in bikinis) but I wanted a two piece to make it easier to change her nappy.

I've never put a float jacket or wet suit thingy on her but i guess girls have more covered than boys. Imogen is never bothered by the cold either, we went the other week and the heating wasn't working and even tho she was shivering a bit at times she was having a great time and didn't want to leave.

Erm in conclusion I'd try out just trunks and if he seems cold then get a float jacket or something similar.

my two wear float suits and love it...it gives them the freedom to not have us holding them tight about their waists the whole time

lily-ann can lay back and float in hers which gives her just about the only freedom to move she's ever had

hmmm i agree kenty the jacket that he has is good as its quite buoyant and you can sort of loosly hold onto him while he flaps around (ermm safely though )

i think we might just try in trunks, i get quite chilly in our local pool but now he is bigger and more active he will hopefully keep warmer - the babywarmer only goes up to 24months so it seems a waste to buy another one, maybe im being tight
