| What are you doing?
Izzy and I are going with Renata & Jasmin to the main park in town where they are doing things for National Play Day - should be fun!
It says: (although Ive yet to see any big tyres in the park!)
The array of free family activities available to take part in this year include Hoola Hooping from Hoola Nation, Percussion from Didgeridoo player Chris Thorn, a community cardboard structure using special components with REplay it. Also coming to the event with fun things to do are the RSPB, Family Information Services, Sure Start and a Magician.
There are also going to be two tractor tyre Sand Pits in the play area of Cae Glas park for the duration of the summer holidays. The Tudor Griffith Group has donated the Tyres and they have been decorated by Art students from Walford and North Shropshire College Oswestry campus.
The Tyres will be arriving in the park on Thursday the 28th of July. The covers for the sand pits have kindly been made at Linstrand Balloons. |

Your area is really into playday! Theres one about half hour away so could make the effort I guess but it's hard if you don't know if it's going to be any good. And i hate driving atm with bump. There's one on in Milton Keynes in 2weeks, not sure why it's late so might go to that if baby hasn't arrived |

| Well the Play Day in the park was a bit crap!
The only thing really suitable for toddlers was the Sure Start area where they had a little water & sand play thing. They had ONE face painter and there was a huge queue and a chav family with a million loud older kids seemed to be there the whole time, no one else got a chance, and Izzy was so desperate and queued for ages but the girl doing it just let the loud family keep adding more kids who appeared from no where! So no little ones had their faces done, and we left!
Our 2 had a nice time as had been playing for ages together, but shame they didn't put more effort into it for all ages! |
