Just been to the loo and there was blood in my pad. I wiped and no blood. Should I be worried though? I've had thrush, but thought it was just about cleared up so I don't think it's because of irritable skin, but could be I guess.

How much? Could it be the start of your show? I had a bit a few hrs after my sweep (didnt start labour mind). Unless there was loads and bright red I wouldnt worry that something was wrong, but I would be watching incase my show was coming. Could you ring a MW and check - I know you hate making a fuss but you are due anytime now so im sure MWs would be expecting you to ring in next few days/weeks anyway x

Was there much blood? I'd keep an eye and if any blood ring the midwife or nhs direct. It could be part of your plug coming away maybe. I'd just keep an eye on more blood, movement and any pains. No harm in ringing the midwife though or nhs direct to reassure yourself though. Better to set your mind at rest. Big hugs x

I'm going to give the standard answer of call your mw or got get checked. I've never got to your stage of pregnancy though so I'm not sure if it's normal. I know personally if I ever saw blood I'd be straight up to maternity but with my history it's difficult to have a calm perspective on it. Sorry I can't help, I hope someone who knows better than me answers soon x

It was bright red but there was only a bit. I didn't think about show - last time mine came out in big lump of jelly, lovely, but do remember being told it could be bloody. Going to dig out my notes and find the numbers I'm supposed to call if I need anything. Have a feeling I'm supposed to call day unit at hospital. I'm so unprepared..
thanks for replying!x

So I called the midwife but no answer.. typical. I hate calling and making a fuss and the one time I do no answer. Anyways I googled a bit and it doesn't seem like that big a deal. There was only a tiny bit and no more since so just going to wait it out for now.

I would still see if you can get in touch with your own mw if i were you. Not wanting to scare you but i think its best to get checked over anyway. When are you due to see your mw this week?

Did you get hold of her? I would try again tomorrow and maybe just leave a message for her. Im sure its all ok though.

Yeah, with your second, you only go every couple of weeks at the end.

This time round, I am barely even seeing my midwife. I am having a 10 week gap at the moment before I see her again! x
