How do you store your LO's toys in the living room?

We have like a large wooden toy box, 2boxes under the hi-fi stand, another large box, a box of books and a sack of soft toys shoved in the cupboard, he has his Henry, ride-on and trolley just kinda shoved in the corner...and OMG - its driving me up the wall Toy storage Icon_mad I'm sick of looking at it all the time. Am actually dreading xmas and his birthday cos it means more toys Toy storage Icon_eek Toy storage Icon_rolleyes Toy storage Icon_scratch

I've managed to store his tent and ball pit under the couch, then there's another box full of balls for his pit.

I want my living room back Toy storage Icon_neutral

I have two toy boxes and split the toys between here and her bedroom but in the dining room we have her dolls pram, washingline, ironing board, iron, big activit cube, walker that she still plays with, a play table with sounds thing, and now her rocking horse

it drives me mad too how many toys does a 21month old need

I know, He's got toys in his room plus a rocker thing and a wooden walker, toys under his bed, toys in the kitchen with his table and chairs another box of books and toys, his drawing stuff and his walker that he too loves ramming into my ankles as I wash the pots Toy storage Icon_rolleyes

I wish we;d got a 3 bed house now, then at least we'd have a play room.

I bought two stylish wicker baskets to set on the hearth..but think I am going to have to upgrade the size now that she is collecting some more toys. There are some gorgeous fabric covered baskets that would easily match the decor that are inexpensive that would keep the area tidy. xxx

It's scary how much crap these little ones collect in such a short period of time! Have set aside a few bags of baby toys that shes outgrown already! Madisyn's stuff always seems to wind up in my living room too and I go nuts! Maky found one of her beads from her pixo toys and put it in her mouth. I use to spend hours and hours sorting out the toy bins..now..if I find anything laying about that doesn't belong here..it goes in the trash directly!

Jamie has those toy bins with 3 layers from argos in the toy room and his bedroom, also do you have room for under stair storage as you can get toy storage for under the stairs that fit perfectly Toy storage Icon_smile

Ooo, whats them toy bins?

No we don't have under stair storage, shame cos i've seen some lovely ones too.
Our kitchens in the basement then we have the living room on first floor then bedrooms etc on next floor, so we need toys on each level lol

Arh, right. We've got one of them in his bedroom but its quite small.

I'd like something like this though,
Toy storage Picture+9
That'd be ideal, preferably with little doors on too so it kinda blends in Toy storage Icon_biggrin

Wilkinson's have loads of ideas online and in their catalogue, not sure about the quality but here's a couple

http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/Childrens-Storage-Desks+Chairs/Boys-Generic-6-Bin-Storage-/invt/wt00022?htxt=PsAGyAqy%2FDSGVBgOHPBfATKVETOKIWHcwqoICuDrG%2FxTcDPfxIrYzUvEu76RzzM6wutKTeo9AOCB%0AtDs76aYYKg%3D%3D

http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/Furniture/Childrens-Furniture/icat/childsroom (storage idea at the bottom right)

We have 3 plastic crates in the conservatory for Wil and the rest is in his room in plastic boxes in the bottom of his wardrobe. Wil doesn't have a lot compared to others which helps with the tidiness.
