dunno quite what to do for the best

Awen was eating kiwi today sat quite happy when I noticed the kiwi was covered in blood. Looked and saw she had blood coming from her mouth so took her over by window and prised her mouth open and her tongue was covered in blood. Gave her some weak juice and rubbed some bonjela on it but she wouldnt let me look at it properly to see what was going on with it. She totally refused to go for a sleep afterwards kept screaming and refusing to let me put her dummy in. Ended up late for work trying to settle her.

Neil said she was ok for my dad but refused to nap at all and wouldnt take a dummy at bedtime either and slightly off her food and wont let him anywhere near her mouth so its obviously painful so neil calpolled her up at bedtime.

Shes had a cold for a cpl days but i dont know if its related to that or not. I have geographic tongue and i know thats very painful and there is strong links to it running in families but i cant recall it ever bleeding like that when ive had it so dont know if it could be that and cant look in her mouth properly to see.

I dont know if I should take her to the gp or if thats a bit dramatic for a bit of bleeding but its obviously painful for her. If it is geographic tongue theres no known treatment for flareups but thought maybe they might have something i can rub on it to ease it. I hope it isnt as feel rubbish if ive passed this stupid ass condition on as i never know what I am gonna eat that hurts or when i will have raw patches Sad

Have no answer for you hun..do you think she could of munched on something sharp? Mouth wounds usually heal pretty quickly. Take her in for a check just to make sure it's nothing serious, if she did inherit your condition, at least you'll have a heads up and know what to expect and how to help her when it flares. Hugs..am sure it was pretty alarming to see. xxxx

I'd take her to docs, she could have bitten her tongue or an ulcer, best to get checked so you know,

Hope she better today x

Cheers ladies, shes got no teeth yet so dont think she bit her tongue. Think shes teething but bloods not from that as ive managed to get a finger in to check her gums and theres nothing obviously breaking through. She was eating kiwi at the time it happened and nothing sharp around she was sat next to me on the sofa. Shes still refusing a dummy totally though-may as well use the opportunity to get rid of them at least. But shes still refusing to nap iv been up since 5 with her today and shes just screaming when i try to settle her t sleep. Drinking lots though, gonna try her with some food in a mo.
