| When did you let your lo eat in the car? We're going to Cornwall on Saturday and its going to be close to 7 hours without stops anyway. We're going to stop for breakfast and lunch but Jamie will want snacks as well. Adam says to let him eat in the car but I feel a bit weird about this. Someone else I work with lets her lo (who is 3 days older) so is it just a weird hang up of mine? Do the rest of you let them do it? It would certainly be easier if I let him and we tried to keep to two stops (although his bound to poo not long after we've stopped anyway) |

| We have let Chloe have snacks in the car before, we did it without even thinking about her eating in the car.

| Nooooo! I dont let my kids eat in the car. I have in the past but they are such messy little monkeys that we tend to do loads of stops now. Sometimes I will let them have something they cant make a mess with, like grapes (they shove those straight in their mouths so no mess there) x |

| we let lewis eat in the car all the time, we do alot of long trips so it's spend ages in service stations or let him snack...i'm always careful to make sure he's sat up in his carseat and check he's not choking etc though...lily-ann can't eat in the car obviously as she can't feed herself and chokes on most things |

| Don't mind our car being a mess. It normally is anyway. Its only that even in an upright position the seat tilts back a bit and I'm worried about him choking. Will just have the bite the bullet and go for it I think |

| I'm sure he'll be fine hun. If you think about it at least he's sitting still and you can see him so it's not too much different from being at home |

| I try not to let them eat in the car whilst it's moving. Hermione choked in the back of the car in January whilst we were in Ireland and it was horrible. Having to stop get her out the car seat as quick as we could with cars going past was not fun.
She was only eating a biscuit but still.
Is till let them have food in the car I just watch them like a hawk. |

| We have done a few long journeys recently since Alyssa has been in her forward facing car seat and she is usually chain fed biscotti and organix crisps, don't dare give her grapes or raisins etc in case she chokes xx |
