Using dryer sheets soaking in your burned out pots and pans will remove any caked on mess that you cannot scrub out otherwise. I have saved a fortune on replacing them as I use to just chuck them out. You can even use dryer sheets that have already been used in the dryer for this..so no wasting anything. Also..fabric softener mixed with warm water will remove wall paper without any fuss! You can put it in a spray bottle..or just rub on with a sponge! Also leaves your house smelling amazing!

Ooo im liking both of these ideas Jen - I am wanting to strip the wallpaper in our downstairs toilet so will be using the fabric softener idea (I am obssessed with my house smelling nice) so this would be perfect for me.

another one for pans is boiling coke in it. the acid will melt it away or help lift it might still need some elbow grease to get the worst off but really helps lift it off.

Have tried and tested the fabric softener on the wallpaper and it really did help to get if off - excellent tip jenshayne!
