| My periods are all over the place again, I had a 30 day cycle last month, a 28 day one the month before and I'm on day 8 this month and I'm still bleeding.
It seems to be every alternate month I bleed for ages, the month before last was 12 days then last month was 5 then back up to 8 so far this month. Will the lenght of time I bleed affect when I ovulate?
I've never used ovulation tests how do they work? Do I use them every day or just on the day around mid cycle? |

| I dont think the length you bleed should affect it. but then i'm not a gp.
When i took that soy for the month i took it day 5-9 but af's went back to being bang on 28 days. i was like you before anything from 26-36 days and it drove me mad.
in tesco they are called soy isoflavones and they come in a box tub with a yellow lid.
I took two tabs a day for the first 3 days then 3 tabs for the last two.
they might help, |

| Hi Mandy, as far as ovulation tests go you use them from around day 10/11 of your cycle and test every day until you get a second line that is as strong as the control line. I get mine from ebay and normally pay around £1.99 for 20 and ive never had a problem with them. |

| Also since using them I know exactly when af is going to show, as I always get a visit from her 14/15 days after a positive test without fail. |

| thanks Nutty, off to have a look now
I'm a bit apprehensive about using Soy, have been reading up on it and I understand it helps with menopause rather than menstruation? Does anyone know what the positive and postential negative effects of using it are? |
