| Ok so this isn't technically a review as such...but it is....but it isn't....but it is! I wish I knew that the different baby clothes shops all seem to measure up differently when I was 1st buying clothes. Please feel free to add to this list in further replies. Hopefully we can help out the ladies about to pop. Mama's and Papa's - Small and tight. Trousers are long but tops are short. Mothercare - Large and loose. However I found that the baby items up to and including 3-6 months we accurately sized (Amelia was on the 50th Centile at this age) Next - HUGE and LOOSE! There trousers are very long. Even Amelia who is above the 98th centile in height is still wearing a pair of 9-12 month Jeans and her 12-18 month ones still have a very large turn up. JoJomamanBebe - Accurately sized. Catimini - small alround always aim for a size larger than you think. Pamolina - Large all round. As before please feel free to add to the list! x |

| i find next perfect! especially the fact that you can get them with the elastic around the waist which helps cos braden is sooo skinny!!
i find h+m quite big, dita still wears her 2-4 month pj's from there and she's 8 months lol x |

| M&S are also massive! Agree with you on M&P being small and Next also big. |

| I find Debenhams to be too small. Next clothes bury her, she's 18 months old and not a small girl, but just grown out of a pair of 9-12 month trousers, and the 12-18 month ones are still really loose. I've got a few things lately from Asda and Tesco and they fit fine and baby Gap seem to be fine, although a few t.shirts have shrunk after just a few washes. |

| I must admit I get most of Aimee's clothes from Next as I can start with roll ups then as she gets a bit taller just roll them down.
I also find they wash really well too and stay in shape.

| Agree Next is long/get a few mths longer than the age states. M&S also big fitting. Gap I find smaller fitting though i think 'American' brands are smaller eg the dresses are meant to be bum show-ers if you know what I mean. Tesco/asda I find average... I also got caught out with clothing that just stated 12 months or 9 months etc (clothing from relatives in Canada were labelled like this). From comapring weights I think they mean up to 12 mths etc. At first glance I assumed they meant 12 mth +. |

| mamas and papas are tiny next are great and last the full 0-3 months (and 3-6 so far) rather than halfway through. I found marks and spencer to be a bit mean and the sleeves are always really tight... debenhams are a bit small too (maybe cos we use reusable nappies which are a bit bulkier?) h+m are pretty good and tesco are great for Elijah |

| Next are on the generous side but I don't actually find them large, except for the jumpers which tend to last longer than stated, particularly the knitted cardigans which stretch. However 2nd hand Ts can be very small - suspect they may have been in the tumble drier.
M&S are variable and never large. Dungarees are particularly small. Items sold as an outfit don't necessarily fit together - jumper was too small whilst T-shirt was too baggy... (I wonder if there's a difference between the girls and the boys as those with girls say they measure large?)
Based on very limited experience (gifts!), Monsoon Ts measure half a size too small. Rather disappointing.
Mothercare sleepsuits shrink more than Next (I bought new and don't have a tumble drier) and are smaller to start with - once you've switched to Next I reckon you'd end up skipping a size to switch back.
Our 12-18 Regatta puddlesuit measured small so we've skipped a size - have to roll up the legs and arms on the 2-3 one at 18 months though.
Other than that we've had so much 2nd hand from random brands (mostly supermarkets) that may have been tumble dried that it is difficult to draw conclusions, except I'm sure Primark Ts measure small and/or shrink. |

I second this - can't get dungarees up at the bum but t-shirts are still really loose! |

| a new one to add - vertbaudet - the sizes are absolutely tiny, i couldn't get elijah into a 9-12 month outfit when he was 8.5 months (is is firmly on the 50th centile atm). we have had loads of problems with lovely clothes from them being just randomly sized so have given up. |
