ok ,,,,,, my OH has been buggin me to marry him for AGES ,,, he wanted to do it this year
we have both decided we want me him the kids and our parents there ,, that is it !
been thinking tonight ,,, without his knowledge ,, its my 30th in mid october ,,, could i arrange it in that time ? ,, nothing fancy, registry do , meal afters
obviously i dont want to upset my best friends etc but this is what we want
could i pull it off ,,, i would tell OH but i really think i want to make enquires and provisionally book it in his home town as we are due there for my birthday
what do you ladies think ,, any advice , sugestions appreciated ?????

Ooooh it could work hun - though you would need to apply for a wedding licence together first - ring the registry office and make some enquiries.

I think its definitely do-able! it will be brilliant to surprise everyone

definately do-able, we did ours in a few months, nice small wedding and a meal for the family after, your friends will be fine, its when you start asking a few friends and leaving others out when the problems start.

heya we arranged our wedding in 4 weeks (everyone was convinced i was pregnant, i wasnt though we just didnt want to waste any more time haha). It might be different but in Scotland you only need a minimum of 2 weeks, you need to go and meet the registrar and show your photo i.d and name your witnesses - then you just turn up on the day! We booked a meal at a hotel and only had 8 people there, it was great
