| i may well have to hire a bus. an expense i didnt want to cover. none of my family live close by me and out of the hugeness that it is only my dad drives!! we worked out that between both our 7 seaters it will be a good 2 or 3 double journeys each, covering 48 miles round trips just to get every one up.... to get a bus to mines takes 3 separates, same with trains!! i have 38 people. now, the problem its self isnt the bus its the road it would have to travel along to get to mines from my mums. thats whats making it stupidly expensive!!! it costs more than my venue/cake and shoes all together few of my married friends on FB suggested i should ask them to chip in, say £10? it would cost them double in taxi fare and almost as much in public transport! i feel its a bit cheekie. what do you think? |

| I would ask them, it hasn't ben usual in any of the weddings I've been to for the bride to pay for everyones transport! I don't think people will mind chipping in x |

| I don't think its cheeky AT ALL
It isn't your fault non of them drive....usually its peoples own responsibility to get places like weddings, so you offering to pay anything towards them getting there is more than usual! |

| I let my guests sort it out for themselves! I actually think it would be cheeky of them not to offer to chip in, they're getting a good deal for £10! |

| I think they're bring very rude to expect you to lay on transport!!! Every wedding bar 1 I've been to expected you to get yourself there and back (the one that didn't everyone was staying at the venue and they got a double decker). I'd maybe word the text a little differently saying something like.......I've found a way to save everyone some money when getting to the venue... if I book a bus then it means you'd only have to pay £10/person rather than spending an arm and a leg on taxi's! Let me know if you want me to go ahead.
It's not your fault they don't drive so they can either sort lifts between them or book their own taxi etc! |

| not at all, ive been to a wedding where they gave us that option and we were happy to pay up so we didn't have to take the car, you shouldn't be expected to pay. |

| i worded the text very similar as u wrote. and i get laughed at awcht well... they can all make there way up them selves! im not even offering my car up to help with that either!!!! its a stress i dont need and if they cant put aside a few quid to get to their own sisters wedding then says it all.... |

| i would tell them to chip in hun! it's not really your responsibility to pay for their transport...the ones being tight asses saying no...i'd remind them that it'll cost them a hell of alot more by public transport! i live in leeds and all my family are in kent, i did consider hiring a bus to get everyone up...but i was getting some quotes of over a grand! so tbh i just said fek it, they can use public transport. the way i see it is...if they can't pay to get their, then they're not worth having! |

| thats the attitude i now have kenty. they have 3 months left to find 20 quid for their transport or arrange a travel lodge! if they cant be buggered with that then tuff... i wont miss them, they cant put in an effort |
