my uncle died about 8 years ago and since then his gf at the time has went into complete meltdown. shes now an alcoholic and just cant hold down a job and hadnt so much as kissed anyone since he died.
a few months ago she was at a party and some man took advantage of her. now this happens and its awful when it happens but its set her further back because she now feels like she has cheated on my uncle

well in the past few months shes been even worse if possible. and her friend has just called to let us know that they just had to break into her house and rush her to hospital as shes in such a bad way. her son and daughter havnt even been up to see her they said they couldnt believe the state her house was in. shes so beautiful and such a lovely person.

but apart of me is feeling a bit angry at her too. we all cope ok. we miss him like mad but he wouldnt want us to get into that state over it.

Sounds liek there could be some underlying issues with her, a tendancy towards depression or extreme behaviour because thats not a normal reaction to someones death 8 years on

hope she gets the help she needs, bless her x

yeh I think shes in a depression too. its very sad. theres only so much you can do for her as she needs to realise she needs help by herself

Like the others have said there may be other reasons and maybe she just needs a bit of help from her gp!

Really hope that this lady gets the help that she needs.

thats so sad, people handle grief in very different ways, maybe a hospital stay is what she needs to get help and her life back on track, hope you're ok xxx

thanks girls. I heard today from her daughter and she has a really bad lung and liver infection. the docs are doing further tests to find out just how bad the damage is. maybe it will hit home how much damage she is doing to herself. and Im kicking myself for shutting her out of my life too because I work two seconds away from her house so I need to visit her more and make sure shes ok
