| i reaaallllyyy need to go have my wisdom tooth pulled, iv been having trouble for ages, but i dont want an injection i really want to be put to sleep. so my question is what do they use to put you to sleep, is it gas??? reason i ask, i have scoline apnea(basically means i cant break down some anesthetics and muscle relaxents, so i wouldnt wake up cos id be so relaxed and would forget to breathe) so they couldnt use that on me. see im supposed to carry a sensitivity card around with me...but kind lost it about errrm 6 years ago really should replace that so i dont wanna make a dentist appt to be put to sleep, find out i cant and them have to give me an injection...id rather not go at all |

| I had one out a few months back by local anaesthetic as my wisdom tooth was causing agony
I was terrified, but actually i didn't feel a thing! He just pushed on it and then it just came out! I couldn't believe it!
So if you do need it out and cant go to sleep dont worry about it - the thought is awful but it aint at all bad! |

| I have had wisdom teeth out both ways.
I had one (top right) out by just having it numbed at the dentist and he took it out in about 5 seconds.
The other three I had done all in one go under a general anasthetic which was an injection/drip thingy (that was at the hospital).

| They don't really knock you out. I had this dip put in, and then got+told+to take deep breaths. Then i can't remember much, i remember some tugging and them sayin one tooth is out, some banging in my month from the clamp and then next one+out. Then i+remember being sat up and then having rags put in my month. It+was good. You wasn't ko but you didn't know what was happening x |

| i had my upper wisdom teeth done with local and it was quicker/easier than a filling although a bit horrible for a few days after. when i did work experience in dental surgery we had a lady who was sedated through a canulla in her hand - within 5 minutes she couldn't remember anything, but she experienced the whole thing at the time which was really weird...so was awake and talking, just sedated so she didn't feel anything/remember anything |
