time for a change _
PostSubject: time for a change    time for a change EmptyFri Jan 14, 2011 9:05 pm

i am fed up of picking up after everyone else in the house i mean dylan is 8 he should be helping out more, tyler is 5 he can at least put his stuff away after he was playing etc, and martin in bloody 27 why should i be running after everyone like a slave,
i have decided from today that anything lying around for more than one day will go in the bin (jackets socks shoes etc)
do you think i am being harsh?? i mean i work too, its not like i just sit at home all day long, i am totally shattered atm, surely i am not asking too much for abit of help,

sorry mini rant over lol Smile

I often 'go on stike' but it never lasts, although i have done things like thrown Lukes trainers or his lunch box outside as its pee's me off that he leaves them laying around!

Same here hun! I get so stressed when i do housework as i discover more and more mess! I always try to strike but then it gets too much and too messy and i have to do it Mad Laughing
I used to be so messy myself but not i cant stand any mess, i spend most of my day pointlessly picking up toys, i just cant relax when they place is a tip!

Yeh I think its a good idea to teach them to clean up after themselves and to look after themselves too because when they get to teenagers and go off to uni they are going to be in a right state after a week lol. I was told to pick up after myself from the age of 4/5 and it didnt do me any harm lol xx

I'm so with you on this!

I don't take action but I do have a mega tantrum every few weeks and they all behave for a day or two!

A few months ago during my tantrum I threw everything that was not put away out in the back garden (literaly hurled it out the patio doors) it was coats, shoes, phones, car keys, bags, half a cup of tea, letters etc. Hehe the funny thing is, is that no one said ewt, they just quietly retrieved their stuff!

Good luck, I totally admire you!
xx

Lol BabyMilly i can so imagine that! I remember my mum once came into my room after i hadnt cleaned it but i told her i had, she picked up every single toy or clothing that was on the floor and threw it out my window Shocked i was so shocked and upset that she had prob broken my toys! I can now understand why she did it though!

good idea hun.. but if its inmportant/costly stuff log it into a bin bag but dont like throw it away. pretend you did.. i get fed up. like yea i feel its my job to do the house work.. as i dont work any more.. but i would of thought perry could of tided up after him self.. like if he makes a sandwich for work.. he leaves the board out the knifes and crumbs ever where" never puts stuff in the wash bin. if im lucky it will go on top.. and ive been nagging for days for him to put his clean clothes away!

I'm so with you all on this one! If I can teach my sons to look after themselves it will be brilliant! Oh literally does nothing but make a mess and it drives me mental! I too had a breakdown no so long ago cried for ages then carries on cleaning like the skivy I am!
I got given flowers and chocolate but got no help hmmmm not sure how to change that outcome!
