does anyone else have one of these?? he is currently spitting at me! where the heck did he learn to spit ?? taking a sip of his juice and doing a half raspberry at me and running away. i took his juice off him, sat him on the naughty chair and he picked the chair up and threw it! whacked me on the shins. he throws everything! i am down to 3 dinner plates, he moves at lightening speed. i cant even go to the toilet without him using it as an excuse to trash something, climb on something, throw something or whack his older brother! he dont hit him back cause he knows hes too small but im starting to wonder if mibi he should!! he puts up with no end of abuse and even has a nice new cut on his eye lid because alasdair saw fit to smack him one with a toy gun, which actually broke!! when he is not being destructive and abusive he is bouncing off the walls, literally!! he chucks him self at the sofas and bounces back, just so he can fall over lol!???!! he is so hyper. when he isnt he is chucking him self on the floor and screaming blue bloody murder cause he has been told no! when he is naughty and i take things away from him or remove him from said naughtiness its like a red rag to a bull and makes him do it even more cause he thinks its oh so funny. i just dunno where to go with this or how to discipline him etc. iv never had a child like this in my life. u really have to see it to believe it!

Aww, hun. My LO can get like this some day..he can just be a little *bleep* I find he gets worse when we don't go out anywhere for a day or so. We go to a lot of baby groups and get together with kids his own age and he is so well behaved when he's with them and is generally more well-behaved but if we have to stay in for any length of time he just gets bored and destructive/misbehaving

I tried the naughty spot/chair and it just didn't work..I was thinking he was maybe too young scratch it just didn't work for him anyway..so my technique is to ignore bad behaviour and reward good. I can see he does things to wined me up, so I just turn away, leave the room etc. Do you think that could work? or do you think he'd still persist with destruction?
Or what about time-out in his room?

Sorry i'm not much help eh?

Be really hard and really consistent hun.

Remove him from the situation really firmly (uncomfortably but not enough to leave a mark) without saying anything and put him somewhere secure (in his cot?)

It sounds like serious attention seeking to me so the less of a reaction he gets the better if you want to cure it.
