Oh how exciting and scary!
Its only a few hours hun, worth the agro and pain in the end! You know the drill lol x

i bought one and didn't end up having time to use it maybe for the next one!!

Thing is, you know that rosy-glow / holding newborn / first cry?
Well I don't. That is, I have no recollection...
... so don't have that thought to see me through

I keep avoiding one born every minute as I think it will scare me - but maybe it'll help me realise a tiny person is in there and needs my help to get out safely a thought which eludes me at present. Ahh shan't moan on to y'all, I could have a long time worrying yet.

I didnt have it either hun, Aimee's birth and the first 5 weeks were the worst weeks of my entire life and I was dreading giving birth again.

But.... it was so different with Lily and a great experience x

Was quicker and less painful 2nd time - try not to worry!

Very surreal in early labour, at home on the birthing ball on the lounge floor, retired chap from next door in our bed (babysitting - we don't have a spare room), OH surfing the web between contractions (what else is there to do at midnight when you don't suddenly need to re-read all about labour?).

Then on the post-natal ward you know what to expect - that the person who will speak to you most is the Bounty woman not a MW, not to be surprised to hear other new fathers on their mobiles planning nights out drinking, and that overnight the bathroom will fill up with those cardboard urine containers with our bed numbers scrawled on them for the MWs to check how much we are passing.

Then once home it is very difficult to get to a computer with both hands free in order to type - I'm on here most days but usually whilst feeding so rarely post.
