Do you regularly check your ??

I must admit I am a bit bad for this. I have been thinking about it since watching Embarrassing Bodies the other night. The thing is my boobs always feel lumpy anyway and I'm not really sure what it is I am supposed to be feeling for!!

No i don't, like you i dont really know what i am looking for and they always feel lumpy to me.

A girl I work with who is the same age as me has just found a lump, its advanced breast cancer, she has to have a mastectomy and chemo

I know I should, but I wouldnt know what I was looking for either.

I am considering just paying privately every year for a mamogram. My nan had a breast off due to b/cancer and my mum has them yearly.

I always said I would start when I was 30, so should get a jiggy on, I guess.

I took my Mum for her mammogram last year. While I was waiting I got talking to the lady on reception and asked why they dont screen younger women. She said that younger womens boobs are so dense that it would be like looking for a white dot on a piece of white paper, but older ladies boobs are lense dense and have 'darker bits' or something to that effect.

My Mum says she always asks the nurse to check when she has a smear.

Thats what has prompted me again. Isn't there something you can buy, like a gel pad or something that you put over your boob and it helps you to check them??
