well, i have just had an almighty battle with elijah. he is overtired and really could do with calming down, tried bf/cuddles/blanket etc so i was just going to take him out - if he was awake we have a wander in the park, if not a powerwalk for mummy's fatness

anyway, so as he is grumpy he just would not go in the pram - at one point he was upside down and i was sat on the floor after sliding down the wall........any tips? elijah won that particular battle, again and is galloping up and down the room with my phone

i really couldn't get him in without hurting him i dont think...tried to bribe him with a toothbrush but no.....i really don't remember him turning two!!!

brutal mummy strength maybe???? benji does this sometimes, i just karate chop his legs into the pram haha (evil mummy!!!)

hahaha brute strength alone is not enough!!! its much harder when they can stand up/jump/wrestle back.

Tayla is a nightmare now and barely use the buggy at all. But when I need her in it when we are say in town, i have to kind of sit on her to get her in Ice cream or choc sometimes work to

Distraction works for us. When I'm ready to go I give ellie a little snack or drink and she's so busy concentrating on her snack that I have her strapped in and ready in seconds. I always take something with me too so that when we're finished at the park I get her drink out and she happily gets back in.

Thats one thing Oliver never did, kicking off trying to get him in the pram..he loves his pram lol

Don't get me wrong, he does kick off when I try get him to cooperate so I tend to just pick him up, sit him in the middle of the room and leave him for 2 mins (out of sight) I always say 'mummy's going to give you 2mins to calm down!'..it gives him enough time to calm down and me time to calm down too and he usually finds something to distract himself with.

I will then try again but in a different order (iykwim ) ie; putting the pram outside before trying to put him in it

lol my mum always tells me to pinch the back of the legs, lol she did that to us apparently!! I havent tried but i just kind of give them a pursuading push at the hips =op

not with buggies mind car seats, braden hasnt been in a buggy since he was 16 months old and dita loves hers lol x
