Stephen will not sit down in the bath now, he just loves standing up and walking himself round the tub but it makes life so difficult, especially trying to wash his hair and he keeps slipping despite the bath mat and I'm worried about him hurting himself. Has anyone got any suggestions of something to occupy him in to sitting down? Thanks xxx

bath crayons! haha mario sent some to us to help with elijah, and while elijah has so far ignored them they have made my bathtime infinately more fun

also, i have recently been giving up and holding him in one arm and jumping in the shower - good workout for the arms!!!

H did this and now Lewis is standing up. Have you got a full length bath mat? Tbh nothing worked with H we just had to keep sitting him down again, but he soon got bored of it x

See Stephen is soooo strong, it's really difficult to actually sit him down again and it takes me and his dad to do it so we've just been trying to distract him in to sitting down with his toys but he just lunges for them and slips The bath mat is full length but he just has no sense and tries to climb up the side and slips still.
I would try holding him in the shower Mari but he hurts my back just carrying him up the stairs these days seeing as he's already nearly 32lb Bath crayons sound fun! I might get some for me xx

christ 32lb yeah probably a bad idea...maybe he would stand in the shower and it wouldn't be quite as slippy? it would be easier to rinse his hair that way. eli is the same, wont sit down in the bath and even if you do the scoop at the back of the knees maneuver it doesn't work
