Driving me mad! _
PostSubject: Driving me mad!   Driving me mad! EmptyFri Jul 22, 2011 7:34 pm

Well as you know we live at my mums (hopefully not for much loner as im on the verge on a nervous breakdown Laughing )
So we have to share a room with Tay which was never really a problem as she is norm a deep sleeper so can have the lamp on or watch tv.
But recently shes doing this thing when Luke gets up for work or for call outs (like last night at 3.30am Doh ) She wakes up SCREAMING hysterical 'Dadddddddy' She woke up the whole house last night!
What the hell am I meant to do? Most of the time he is really quite so I dont even know how she hears here but she shoots straight up and starts screaming. Only thing I can do is ask Luke to sleep down stairs which he should have to do, but this is the 2nd week of it now.
Any advice?

awwww bless, sounds like she's unsettled and worried that Daddy wont come back from wherever he's going. Not sure how you can get round it. Maybe do what you suggested and get OH to sleep downstairs. If its not for much longer, its not much of a sacrifice xx

oh no what a horrible situation Im not sure what to suggest really other than Luke sleeping downstairs... I suppose it might make him realise he needs to sort his mum out quicker though Wink

Oliver is going through a very similar thing with me and OH if we leave a room he gets heartbroken Sad

I think all I could suggest is for your OH to sleep downstairs as well on the nights that he's 'on call'. I know its not ideal, but hopefully not for long.
It might also be combined with night terrors too maybe and thats why she gets so upset. Best just to reassure her calmly and quietly and be consistent with it..i'm sure she'll get past this phase soon enough. xx

Since I found out I was pg Stuart has slept in the bed once - when he thought I wanted sex (I didnt!). It started that I was being sick in the night/frequent loo trips/falling asleep in middle of bed at 8pm.... but is now a habit and I love it. Dunno how il share again.

He sleeps on sofa, but thats his choice really to stay up so late and he doesnt feel put out by it. Plus its only 2-3 nights a week he here. Maybe you could ask luke to do the same a few nights? Only thing that might be odd I suppose is the fact you live at home, dunno if Stuart would like my mum walking in on him sleeping every morning? Also my mum would prob be strict and want Stuart covered up in sensible Pj's lol
