Thomas had me up till 2am coughing and crying because he couldn't settle then Hannah woke me up at 3 whinging coz she'd kicked the covers off so when Paul's work rang at 5.30 to say that one of the trucks had been involved in a bad RTA it's safe to say I was NOT amused

Paul dives out of bed and into the bathroom, rushing around to get to work he disturbs the kids again so he races off to sort work out and I'm left with two whinging kids thinking it's getting up time . Finally get them settled just after 6 and get back into bed and fall asleep.

This is where it gets confusing, Paul comes home gets undressed and back into bed telling me he's sorry it was a false alarm and was only a breakdown so he's gonna get another hour or two before going back to work. We both fall asleep and all is fine.

Thomas then starts shouting me and i look at my clock it says 8.45 so I think shit Paul is late for work - turns over to wake him - he's not there . Thinking it's VERY odd that the kids have slept so late I rush to check on Hannah and make sure Thomas is ok. Grab them both and take them into my room and ring Paul. He answers telling me he's at the crash scene with the police which confuses me even more - I look at the clock and realise I have looked through bleary eyes and it's only bloody 6.45

So turns out I must've fallen into one of them short deep sleeps - dreamed Paul came back home then woke up in a haze and misread the clock mistaking 6 for 8 poor Hannah got woken up early and Thomas now thinks all his Christmases have come because he was allowed in our bed before the groclock sun came on and I'm still slightly confused about the whole thing

It's gonna be a looooooooooooooooong day

Well turns out hun that it wasn't so much a 'crash' as a knobber agency driver who can't read. He drove a 44 foot articulated lorry under a low underpass and opened the trailer like a tin of sardines . It's clearly height marked and the vehicle has height markers in the cab.

The driver is fine and no other vehicles were involved but he managed to right off tens of thousands of pounds worth of truck, damaged the underpass shutting two major commuter roads into manchester just in time for the Monday morning rush, kill about 4000 loaves of bread and piss me off immensely because he can't fecking read - idiot!

The truck is still wedged stuck and the road will have to be shut until structural engineers can get there and check its safe to drive over/under

omg what a bizarre morning i used to get those weird sleep deprived dreams where you couldn't really tell what was real and what wasn't, least noone was hurt and you might get a snooze later

How confusing! I hate that kind of dream, don't mind the freaky ones as they're clearly not real but the realistic ones do my head in. I punched my ex in his sleep before because I had a really realistic dream that he was lying next to me telling me that he was cheating on me, and I was a terrible girlfriend. I rolled over, thinking it was real and smacked him so hard He did see the funny side, thankfully!

That poor truck driver though! Glad no-one was hurt, but he must be so embarrassed.

I've had dreams like that before. I woke up on the floor once confused and Paul said I was looking for a rabbit cuz apparantly one ran in and was hid under the bed!! Pmsl. I also frequently hit, kick or shout at him in my sleep for various things, luckily 5 years later he's used to it lol xxxx
