Hey ladies,

As you all know ive been stressing lots, and I mean really beating myself up about Isla and her 'bedtime routine'.............the fact that she wont self soothe to sleep, so either me or OH end up sat up there with her for between half an hour and an hour and half ish

So anyway last night id been sat up there with her looking at me, or pulling my hair etc for over an hour.........calmly I thought bugger this.......youre gonna have to cry this out cos I cant cope with this every night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow as predicted she screamed ...........................for 8 mins then went asleep!!!!!!!!!!

So tonight I thought well that must of been a fluke, but im gonna try it again..........so she had her milk, and a 2 min cuddle, then I said ni-night I love you......put her in her cot and walked out..........Again crying but 8 mins later, all is quiet!!!! That was 25 mins ago now

Oh my GOD................

Im gonna stick with it now, so wish me luck for the future nights!!!!!!!!!!! Im excited and slightly optimistic now though

Brilliant !!! thats good news. it is hard to let leave them cry but it does work. i always give Cerys 10 mins to faff about and moan, i go up once to lie her back down. if she starts again (hardly ever) i ignore her and she gets fed up and goes to sleep. its so much better fro them in the long run. Bet you're over the moon

SHES ONLY BLOODY GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN TONIGHT - Less than 5 mns and all was calm, but she didnt even kick off that much really.........more of a moan, then a jabber, then quiet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
