Hey, my lo was born at 36 weeks but had IUGR so was at the development rate of 28 and 32 weeks. She started walking just after her 1st bday. I wouldnt worry to too much, but can you not see a HV or GP just to put ur mind to rest?

Hey hun! Hmm i'm not sure about the prem part sorry but i the way lacey is now, is how charlie started out, He's been walking now for about 3months. it seemed like he was never going to walk at the time, but it all of a sudden just clicked. He and oh were sat with him inbetween us and just encouraged him to try and walk. Does Lacey stand for any length of time without holding onto things? I think the confidence comes when they discover they can do that! I wouldn't be too worried about he not walking just yet, they all do things at different times, and it doesn't sound like she couldn't do it! Like you say confidence probably plays a big part. With charlie i would just stand him up and let go of his hand gradually, and walk slowly away with my hands out towards him, at first he would take a few mini steps/shuffles but the he just started to walk and never stopped!

With regards to the walking, my first daughter walked at 17 months and my second daughter is now 15 months and still not walking... neither of them were premmy, they were/are just late walkers. Personally it is not something i am concerned about, but understand that with a premmy you are very conscious of their development. x x x

my son was 40+5 and didnt walk till he was 19 months so i really wouldnt worry. each individual is different and doesnt matter wether they were 4 weeks early or 4 weeks late they will do it when they are ready x
