A while back at the beginning of October, we took Chloe to the park and Matt deciding to show off, started climbing over these climbing rocks they have for the teenagers there and fell off and hurt his shin, it came up in a weird lump and went every colour of the rainbow at the time, after a couple of weeks it was still hurting him and the bruising hadn't gone so he went to the docs who told him he had an infection in it and gave him antibiotics. The bruising went a bit, but then it came back, it's now nearly three months since he did it and he still has a lump and the bruising keeps coming and going and it's still hurting him. Now being a man, he won't go back to the doctors. Any ideas what it is? Do you think it's still infected or something else?

I have no idea what it is hun but I would def make him go back to the doctors. If he has had an infection and the inti Bs haven't cleared it then he should get it looked at.

It's weird that it's still giving him pain so long after, did he get an xray at the time? do you think it could be fractured and they haven't picked up on it?

Also if it is infected and goes untreated he could develop ulcers in his leg. My Grandad had ulcerated veins in his shin from an injury that he didnt get treated and he ended up having to have an operation (I was only little at the time so don't remember the details). Men are so stuborn but he should go back just incase, if he carries on being stubborn tell him that my grandad ended up with a hole the size of an orange in his leg where they had to remove the dead tissue and developed awful arthritis as a result - that should scare him into getting it checked Wink (for your peace of mind hun - my grandad left his untreated for a long long time - so I don't think Matt's will be that bad Smile ).

xx
