Well im looking to start my driving lessons (more like being bullied by luke and my mum Laughing Rolling Eyes )
My question is, if my mum were to give me lessons in her car, would i have to be on her insurance? Stupid question Embarassed

Yeh i think so, you would have to be a named driver on her insurance.

Thanks Kell thought so, i might ask her to get a quote and see how much it is. It would prob work out cheaper that doing every lesson with an instructor.

It will do but you have to be careful you don't pick up your mum's bad habbits lol!
i did the about 10 lessons with an instructor and after that i saw the instructor every other week and went out with my dad inbetween to help gain confidence!

Good luck! it really does give you so much independance when you know how to drive!

Yes you would definately need to be on her insurance, but TBH for the amount your mum would pay to add you to her policy (if they will allow it) it would be more worthwhile spending it on lessons.

I think shes actually covered for anyone over 25 to drive her car? Maybe ill have to wait till July lol!
Thanks though, i do want to start but i am scared and dont see how i would have time as i have Tayla and no one to watch her for an hour every week Rolling Eyes

Even if she does have any driver over 25, she would have to declare you because you would have a provisional licence. xx

Just had quick google and it would seem it would work out way cheaper just to go with an instructor!

Terri.. would it not be cheaper to fly to cyprus, bribe a driving examinor to pass you and then go back to uk with a driving license? lol

Jade im kicking myself for not doing it in Cyprus! Luke passed his there lol! The theory test is a joke too! Laughing He did have to pay £50 the change his license over though Rolling Eyes

I'm still on my Jersey driving license as would dread to think how I'd get mine changed over here!

haha I duno why they even bother with the theory OR drivin test over here it's not as if anyone pays any attention!

it will be way cheaper to pay an instructor too, and you wont pick up any bad habits.
i was with an instructor but also got insured on OH's car aswell at the same time with my provisional for extra practice coming upto my test and it shot up by loads!
by loads i mean from £62 to £225 per month
