Milo's been stuck at 11kgs for about 3 months now.. he eats like a little piggy, but I'm now worrying that even that's not enough! Having said that he's grown noticeably taller over the last couple of months, so he's clearly not malnourished. He poops at least once, if not twice a day, so I know he's not starving, but it seems strange to me that he's getting taller but not heavier..

Is it normal at this age (18 months) for them to stay the same weight for quite a while?

I should also add that he is *constantly* moving
And 11kgs is about 24 pounds i think. He's very long and skinny, slightly over average height/weight for japanese babies, and slightly under average weight for english babies (from what i can work out)

C has been stuck at 21lb since december and before that was 20lb for god knows how long, as far as i can tell shes only gained like 2lb in last 8 months. I think its just cos they are more active now tbh. As long as he isnt losing im sure he will podge it on eventually x

I dont think Taylas gained weight since she was about 14months! Shes grown taller but lost all her chubbyness and is a skinny minnie now!

dont worry too much hun, because theyre so active now they will just be working off some of their chubbyness once they get past one they tend to slow down loads anyway xx

I wouldnt worry. His weight seems normal, Caitlin is only cpl weeks older and she is nearly 26lb. I think she's put on about 7lb in the last 10 months but can go a cpl with putting on nothing due to being sick/starting to walk... and then next time I weigh her she's put on 2lb... then she will lose 0.5lb again

Iv my own scales and think I was weighing her too much, now I do it once a month at most. If he's happy and healthy I wouldnt worry. His weight sounds spot on for his age

well i weighed riley last week (26lb) he's still the same weight has he has been 4 about a year and measured him yesterday and he's not got any taller either (90cm) he eats well but he walks alot with my mum so think that must be why plus he runs me ragged at home lol, has long has u think he looks healthy try not to worry about it xx

i think its quite normal!
Braden stays the same weight for ages and then just suddenly puts on 1or2 lb every few months, he weighs 33lb fully dressed, but he is on the 91st centile for height

Thanks everyone! That's a relief to hear. I think because they put on weight so fast when they're little, I got so surprised that he wasn't changing - but yay! he's normal!
