For anyone who is interested key points from today's budget
* Personal tax allowance has been increased meaning you can now earn £8,015 without being taxed
* mileage allowance on business mileage gone up from 40p to 45p
*freeze on planned fuel duty increase and 1p reduction in fuel duty from tonight
* Tobacco up by 2% above inflation
* no change on alcohol duty
* 50% top rate of tax to stay, but is under review
* council tax frozen this year

I think they've been very clever with this budget, most of what they've suggested is very positive but they did all the damage in the emergency budget last year and I wonder if they think by doing this they will gain popularity. I personally have done quite well, I'll pay less tax, will get more in mileage, and fuel reduced
