| I just called the Cardiac secretary in Oxford to find out what date Aimee will be going to hospital in June. All we know at the moment is that it is the last week. She said she didnt have dates, and couldnt even confirm that we wont find out with just a weeks notice! They have got to be bloody joking! We have got to sort out accommodation as we cant both stay at the hospital, and we will have Lily with us. My parents are also coming and will be taking care of Lily in the day times. So... I just got a quote from a Premier Inn for two rooms for the 5 nights - £1118!!!!!!!!!!! Do these people actually think that we can afford to book that because they cannot confirm dates to us?!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| hun have you tried the macdonalds charity for parents who have kids in hosptial they might be able to assist. i just cant think of the name of it, but its in all the maccys around.
and how much, travelodge are doing cheap nights, but if you dont know the dates thats really not going to help.
would hiring a caravan for the week close be cheaper, or a b&b even.
just thinking off the top of my head and not sure if i'm helping |

| I have looked at the Ronald McDonald House (we stayed there in Oxford) and they only have 5 rooms. Unfortunately its on a 'see if there is room whe you get here' basis. Crapity crap! x |

| Jesus! That's a joke. Holiday let's could be an option. How terrible that your family and your little girl have to go through the surgery but with addition stress with dates and costs it's not on! Hugs x |

| Surely the hospital has apartments for stays... even if you, hubby and lilly stayed and your parents got B&B... Id speak to Southampton themselves.. Im sure my friend stayed in accomodation when her hubby was in southampton general.. Do you have private health, would they assist with cost? Hope you sort something out hun. |

| Hi honey, I mentioned this in passing to OH who often has to work in the London area, involving an overnight stay usually. He said he would look at hotels that are further away but near a tube stop - you should be able to get a much better price without really losing much convenience xx |
