That woman was a bit harsh then though - so condescending and negative - hardly the way to motivate someone to change their lifestyle. She should have been more encouraging and helped her think about what changes she CAN make instead of going all idealistic.

i just feel that if people are old enough to have babies they are old enough to take responsibility for their actions - and to consider the consequences of their actions and the impact of those behaviours on their child, unborn or otherwise.......ugh

That bar manager woman is really struggling with the reality of being pregnant. You see the black midwife stopped being all idealistic and lecturesome, and suddenly started getting through.

The fat girl is going to do well, she's really motivated. Her fiancé is a loser though, OH said he needs a good kickin - that's something coming from him!!

It's very odd that people think the way they do toward pregnancy. How on earth is smoking or drinking etc going to do your baby any good, do you think they are just plain stupid?

Wtf stupid cow. Now that does make me mad. I went through all kinds of hell quitting smoking before ttc but obviously not everyone plans their bfp. I understand how hard it is to give up smoking because I really really struggled but when it's not about you, it's about a baby, well surely that changes everything? And pretending it's good for it,'she deserves a good smack that girl.
