Did the weekly shop today at my local Asda and bought a jar of their own brand mayonaise.

When I got home opened the jar of mayo and was just about to use it in Bethany's lunch when the best before date caught my eye......BBE January 2011 !!!! I thought my eyes where deceiving me.

So I hot footed it back to Asda had a right go at them and they gave me a £5.00 gift card as good will.

I've got to be honest I don't check the date on everything (ususally just check meat/bread/dairy products) but I will from now on!!!

In reality we shouldn't have to careful should we? We're paying good money and should expect it to still be in date. It really annoys me because I hate shopping so if I do get out of date stuff I can never be arsed taking it back as it's such a chore finding a parking space and lugging ellie with me grrrr really annoys me. These shops need to get their arses in gear and employ more staff.

Phew! Rant over Smile
