We have this one. I love it. I can spend 3-4 hrs on the phone some evenings and the battery always holds. I also leave it off the charger for days at a time and it still works. I think the only drawback is it doesnt have loud speaker like my mums does but I dont really miss it.

I think its a really good price and does the job. x

We had/have a cordless one but its never plugged in. Nobody has the number, so I dont see the point of leaving it plugged in for cold callers to piss me off.

I had it in for about 2 months and they always rang on Aimee's nap time - so rather than me bashing the plastic out of it (and the other person on the end of the phone), I decided to get rid.

We have just got our mobiles.

Oh just to add, in a powercut a cordless phone doesnt work so you def need to have a working mobile aswell, especially with a LO. Corded phones will work, but I find it a pain being restricted to one place. x

We have this one. It's cheap but never had a problem with it. Batt life is good, Imogen is always hiding the phone and there will still be battery left the next day or day after that x

We have BT Freestyle cordless ones (2) The main one in the living room is plugged into the socket but the other in the kitchen is just plugged in via electric (as we have no phone sockets in the kitchen) Its got built in answer machine too.
We have these:
Landlines BT-Freestyle-335-Telephone-with-Answer-Machine-Twin-0
http://www.shop.bt.com/products/bt-freestyle-335-twin-cordless-phone-5709.html

We've had them a good few years and the batteries are still going strong. (and I do use them alot)
My mum got some BT phones after I got mine and her batteries have already gone too, they were never holding charge - so she just replaced the batteries.

I've had Binatone (sp) and imo they are shite. Phillips are very good though.

Also, I would recommend getting a cheapy corded phone for the days when you have power cuts. You can pick them up for a few quid from the supermarkets Very Happy
