Now my lo has discovered his hands they're in his mouth constantly and they're starting to get a bit sore. He only used to do it when he was teething or hungry but now it's loads. Is there anything I can do to stop them getting red and sore? They don't seem to be bothering him just me! xxx

Does he use a dummy or have a comforter? Maybe you could give him that to suck/chew on instead? My lo starting chewing her hands at the same age and i thought it was teething but she didn get her first tooth till 10months!

He won't have a dummy but I haven't tried a comforter so I'll try that thanks. He's had one tooth coming through really slowly since he was 7 weeks Chewing hands Icon_cry I think it's nearly all the way through now! xxx

matalan have sleepsuits that have foldover gloves on the sleeves, and elijah likes to stuff muslin into his mouth at the moment - his poor little chin is getting sore and spotty too thought, and he is wearing bibs now cos his neck was getting sore - i just want to slather him in sudocrem but im worried he might eat that too
