| My friends little girl has been very poorly with Cryptosporidium parvum. She has lost alot of weight. She caught it from a farm outing with school, several children got it. apparently it's a parasite that lives in a sheeps gut. He's a description about it. It is one of several protozoal species that cause cryptosporidiosis, a parasitic disease of the mammalian intestinal tract. Primary symptoms of C. parvum infection are acute, watery, and non-bloody diarrhoea. C. parvum infection is of particular concern in immunocompromised patients, where diarrhea can reach 10–15L per day. Other symptoms may include anorexia, nausea/vomiting and abdominal pain. So just a reminder it is very important to wash hands thoroughly after touching animals at parks and zoo's etc. X

| They are getting better but I think it takes a bit of time to get out of system. I'm allways really careful when my kids go near animals but have seen some people just ignore the washing hands bit and it just shows you can catch things. |

| Aww scary stuff, hope the kids all get better soon! I'm a terror for handwashing at places like that, think milo spent more time with his hands under than tap than he did actually touching the animals, poor kid! |
