| Sometimes I really wish that my OH worked some sort of normal hours!!!!
He works earlies, lates, nights, weekends etc. Ok so it's good to have him at home during the day, and I love having the bed to myself when he is on nights. But he is working almost every bank holiday this year, and he only gets 1 full weekend off in 4.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining when he gets his pay slip with shift allowance, double time etc, but he has missed all Easter with the girls and I always feel like I am doing everything on my own.
Luckily I have great family and friends I can spend time with but still I feel like he is missing out on so much. I know he has to work, and I am proud of him providing for his family.
Does your OH work silly hours??
xx |

| Yep mine works his 9-5 job and then works Thursday, friday and Saturday nights at a club, on bank holidays he also works more at the club. It's all for a good reason (holiday and spending money) But we don't get much time together. This weekend he took Friday and Saturday off and it's been AMAZING! |

| Paul has a weird contract in that his standard hours are mon-fri 7-4 but since his promotion he is expected to be flexible at the drop of a hat so he could come home tomorrow and tell me he is starting tuesday at 4am or starting late and coming home at 10pm. He is also expected to work weekends and nights where needed too so as far as I know this week he is doing mon-fri but again could come home and say he's off wed, thurs and working the weekend. It drives me insane because we could have something planned next weekend and then have to cancel . Obviously if it were a holiday booked or a wedding etc he could say no but he is expected to be flexible and most weeks something changes xx |

| Rob can work anytime from 4:30am til 12:45am (obviously all 8 or 9 hour shifts) though recently he has been doing more lates than earlies but being alone while midnight or later isn't always fun xxx |

| russ works 9-5, but then hes on call 24hours a day, and although hes been off on holiday this past week, he still been called...
i've known him work from 8 am to 3am trying to sort issues and then be back in work at 8/9 that morning.
but i'm pleased that majoiryt of the time his calls can be dealt with over the phone and its rare these days that he has to go in, but still annoying |

| We both work earlies, lates and night so sometimes don't see much of each other for days. |

| My OH works 3 rotating shifts (earlies, lates, nights)Its good because of the shift allowance, but I hate the late shifts cos he hardly sees Oliver, then on nights 'I' miss him He's actually been moved onto 2 shifts at the mo (earlies/lates) which is better I suppose, but they are wanting to cut his shift allowance down too (Its a long story but he's fighting it at the mo) |

| Usually Dan does work LOADS of hours, average of 10 a day in the week, plus some on the weekend
Mind you us losing my full time salary means he doesn't really have a choice if we want to have the same kind of money we have always been used to...hate being skint!
He's not worked at all the last 4 days ... and has pretty much looked after Izzy the whole time cos I've been doing stuff thats been needing to get done for a long time!
BUT Yeh I know the feeling when they do nothing but work, some times Dan will work solidly for a month and work every day even just a few some days - but still its hard! (and I think he has at last learnt how to turn down work!) |

| My oh works 8am til 4. But because he took on an extra role of buildings manager if his staff has good or call in sick then he is left with having too unlock the building at 7am n lock it at 8pm. Hasn't happened yet but he is also on call for security breaches which is 24/7 x his work is very flexible for us though x |

Same here, in fact we go from Weds evening right through to Monday morning not seeing eachother at all, just sleeping in same bed and if hes lucky getting a quickie before we go to sleep lol. He never gets weekends off, I get the occasional Sunday off but work every Saturday, but if I need days off for family occasions I normally take them no problem but he can't as he is management so I do feel like I'm doing it on my own a lot so I know what you mean Paula xxx |
