ok so now after 3 weeks of spotting and light bleeding but no sign of af, iv decided i relly do need to do something about it...im guessing my hormone levels are just effed up so im just gonna go family planning and get pill instead of wating weeks to see my gp...so my question is do i have to wait for a certain time in my cycle to start taking the pill, cos i dont have a clue tbh...or can i just start taking it anytime?? bearing in mind im taking it to sort out my cycles? x

The ones I take (the most popular, like yasmin/microgynon) are start on the first day of your period...but Ive started mid cycle and been fine!

They usually say to start taking at the first day of af but think your fine to start it whenever as long as you just take extra precautions for the first seven days.

When i stopped BF the doc said i will have to wait to come on bear in mind i had no period for 6 months. So i just started it and when i came to the end of the pill 2 days later my af arrived.
So I would just started

Yep pill great for keeping my af regular an even bigger plus af is not that much of one anymore

This is right. Some clinics like to do a preg test to be sure but if you explain there's no chance they prob won't bother xx
