So we have moved into the new house. We moved into the new house on the understanding we were buying it off them. They have now told us they never said we could buy it!!!!!!!!!

I am so mad i cant find the words to tell you. We have had a massive fall out, and so we are now left with renting and neighbours (bens family live all round us) not speaking to me!!!

OMG!!! What the f??? How can they go back on there word? So have u sold your old house or was u renting before? Was it family you were meant to be buying from?

Was there any type of contract signed....rent to own agreement. Verbal contracts are binding, but you need witnesses to prove that an arrangement was determined prior to you moving in. That totally sucks that there are so many dishonest ppl out there! I hope you get this resolved hun! xxx

We were renting their house a 3 bed and we asked if we could buy it they said no but you can buy our other one (this one were now in)

I was really unsure about it all cause the live directly opposite (with the girls who stole chelseas phone!) and his mum and dad live 3 doors away.

We refused at first but they put so much pressure on us to move that we agreed. (this ones huge so i thought its worth it if we can buy it)

So we swapped with the person who was living here (he didnt really wanna move either)

Anyway we had a massive fall out on the second day we moved here cause they said we had left the other house in a right state. He said he had put a new kitchen, bathroom and flooring in and had to replace spindles and skirting board and the walls were filthy (bearing in mind 2 weeks ago we had spent £150 on dulux paint and painted every room)

Now we did loads to that house, plastered rooms, improved etc and it was lovely when we left it.

So i have been up to the house yesterday cause i kinda know the bloke who has moved in and i wanted to see for myself.

Low and behold iit was just as i left it. Just about perfect. No new kitchen, no new bathroom, same skirting board, spindles and the walls were spotless clean!!!
The only thing he has done was put new flooring down but it was left how we found it when we moved in.

The poor bloke we swapped with is fuming cause he was told we were buying it thats why he had to move out.

We cant find anywhere big enough locally ane the banks want huge deposits for a mortgage, so basically we are screwed. And i just know the nex thing will be the rent going up.

Always take pictures of the place before you move in..and after you leave it..for your own protection. We had bad landlords once..and we filled every single picture hole in the wall and repainted the entire apartment before we left..and they tried to keep our damage deposit because they said the carpets were destroyed..the carpets were a 1960's shag..that were already destroyed when we moved in..I steam cleaned them..probably the first time ever! We did get our deposit back due to a neighbor who said the place was improved with us living there and fixing it up. Always cover ur back! xxx

Laura Ben is fuming and upset. He really down about it cause he says he feels like he has gotten us into a hole. Ben and his BIL this morning case they have said they are going to advetise it for rent so basically they want us out.

Jen wwe didnt do that as they had visited us and could see the improvements we had made. Plus You dont think your sister is gonna do this to you.

Its worse with family..in their minds they do no wrong and will always pretty much blame you for anything that may go wrong..wear and tear are normal in rentals..and they don't take that into account. I would take double the pictures and records/receipts when family is involved. It shouldn't be that way..but sadly we both know how low some family will sink. I hate ppl that can't keep their word, and how hard both you and Ben work to do for your family, you'd think that they would want the best for you as well! xxx

i havent got much advice but i'm so sorry this has happened, its terrible that anyone could treat you like that let alone your family, hope you get it sorted. x

Poor Ben, he must feel really responsible, although its really not his fault.

That is so unfair and bitchy. Have they any reason to have a grudge against you? Are they jealous of your wee family?

Tbh if it was me Id do what mario said, id move out with no notice and not even tell them. Pay your rent & go. Im sure you will find somewhere, even if it just a 3 bed again, a bigger house aint worth this stress. xxx
