Well I have some questions to ask you all

The past 2 weeks my OH has been working so Tyler has been at nursery every day (only 9 till 2) but since then he's hardly been eating for us at home. Well he has breakfast fine and lunch at nursery (apparently) but no dinner just some fruit maybe. do you think it's related to him being at nursery and away from his dad?

I feel like we're neglecting him by him being in nursery every day, you would think it would make him less clingy but he's getting more and more clingy to me. He doesn't sleep at nursery so he normally naps when he gets home but he doesn't get nearly as much sleep as he does on the weekends and that in turn then makes him have even less sleep over night... he was up screaming at 5 this morning... I don't know what woke him but he would not go back to bed, I didn't get up to him till after 6 though. so now today he is tired and more clingy and cried when I took him to nursery again

and then because I'm getting up early with him I feel even sicker during the day and can't do anything with Tyler in the afternoon cos I need to rest and try to not be sick... I don't know what to do for the best

I was thinking about maybe having him in nursery only 3 days a week again but all day, that way I can still do the same hours in the office but I will be at home with him again the other 2 days a week so he can hopefully catch up on his sleep... ideally when the second baby comes though Tyler would be going every day to nursery as Im not sure I could cope with them both (but maybe I will surprise myself)

anyway, just some thoughts/ideas would be great

aww hun, any change to a child's day is going to effect them and seems tyler is perhaps effected by daddy not being around.

to be honest, i know its hard but i wouldnt change his days at nursery,because he will be getting use to it soon, it always takes a few weeks for a new routine to be settled.

rich gets clingy everytime he goes back to school after a holiday, especially if i'm not looking well, no matter how much you hide it, they know.

plus you changing your hours, might sound good but a full day can be very tiring and then having lo on your days off, is not really resting. whereas your body is use to you working these hours.

really not sure if i;ve helped there, but just give him a bit more time and see if he settles a bit more, he will eat when he is hungry and maybe mention to the nursery that you worried abotu his eating and you want them to record everything for a week, nurseries tend to give alot of snacks through the day as well as main meals, so maybe he just eating a bit too much during the day
