| My car insurance is due at the end of the month. I've always been with direct line but they want 600 (for a 1996 nissan micra with 2 years no claim) so there's no way i'm using them. Any ideas of where else I could try or horror stories of places I should avoid |

| We just switched from direct line to Tesco. Went from £1200 to £650. I know a few people with tesco and they've never had problems.
Just thought i'd add we're 21 and altho Matt has been driving for 4yrs and has no claims i've only just passed my test which is why ours is still ridiculously high.

| Bloody hell thats alot!
I only pay £240 fully comprehensive with breakdown cover and that includes Dan..on my 98 Megane. I don't have any no claims as I lost it when I had a company car and forgot to claim it when I moved last!
I am with Swinton.
Dan insures his Celica with Swift cover and they are quite good too...less than what you pay and his is considered a performance car which bumps it up. |

| I always do compare the meercat or one of the others. This year I saved loads as my previous insurer Swift went up to £550 and AXA came up £379!!!!
I drive a 10 plate Lexus or a 55 plate Honda! |

| Those with Tesco be careful, im sure it was only a few, but it was on Watchdog the other night and loads of people turned out not to be insured. It may be worth checking your policies just to be safe. x |

| I pay loads for insurance and I've no idea why I used to be with Tesco but got ripped off by them big style and would never trust them again! I always check on confused.com or something and I'm with Bell now xx |
