Yes, i thought i was popular and had 17 texts but all of them were emails from here because people had replied

I changed my preferences to say don't email me but i'm still getting them does anyone know how i can stop them? My blackberries light is constantly flashing and it breaks my heart everytime it's just an email

ohh, strange, I don't get them, - let me know if its the same threads - cos say for example you were 'subscribed' to a tread and THEN turned off the notification, then that original thread may still be active - if that's the case go to your Profile - Topic Being Watched and remove the topic from your watch list!

Wait no i just got one and i checked and it says i'm watching every thread i've commented on in General Chat. Have i accidently clicked on something or does it do it automatically? I've clicked to stop watching them now though so i'll see what happens

Well the option on preferences is 'Always notify me of replies :
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post'

So its automatic if you say Yes to that - so now you have got rid of those you shouldn't get more unless you specifically click the 'watch this topic for replies button' on a thread

I will have a look in the background of the profile and see if I can change the default to No, cos I think most people would say No anyway.

Yeah it would be better if you could change the default to no, but it only took me a minute to sort it after you'd explained so it's not a huge task doing it ourselves
