How do you make a cup of tea?

I always get compliments when i make someone a tea. do you put the milk in before the water, sugar first or last etc?

I do the following:

Sugar in first it must not be on the tea bag. Tea bag in next, then when i pour the boiling water in, it must go on top of the tea bag so it blows up to its full size. once the water is in a add a little milk and stir. then squeeze the tea bag and add milk accordingly

i love my tea's off for one now LOL

Aw I want one now but have a tiny person attached to my boob Sad

I do it the same as you up to taking the bag out before you put milk in, I usually put the milk in before I take the bag out so I can see how strong it is (I like my tea quite strong).

I do sugar, tea bag, water poured on the bag to make it blowup. Then I let it sit for a minute or so, stir, add milk then take the bag out, add more milk if needed.

I think you should only put milk in 1st when you make coffee to avoid scorching it. But Tea should always have milk added after water otherise it blocks the perorations in the tea bag, and that's a fact lol x

Ok!my way may be perverse but it's quicker! Once my kettle has boiled I just pour in water and pull teabag out and it's done!

You lot have to wait for water and then pour it on and then take out bag and then get the milk out pour it in and put the milk back in the fridge!

Anyway! If you think that's perverse get this - sometimes if I'm really rushing I just get hot water out of the tap Smile

I make mine exactly like that - down to a tee ROFL

I think I make a lovely cup of tea, but my dad who is an avid tea drinker says its stewed Rolling Eyes (I disagree, its certainly not stewed No )

I am now a coffee drinker, but with coffee I have to do sugar +coffee, then milk (<<<< lots of milk Very Happy ) Then hot water on top. I hate it when people add water before milk as it alters the taste Puke

i put bag, water then milk goes in before bag comes out, then leave to brew. I like my tea quite strong but milky (if that makes sense) and find by brewing with the milk in it stops it being stewed

Never ever ever put the milk in first - the water won't be hot enough with it and the milk molecules block the pores of the teabag. And anyway, how do you know how much milk you will need until the tea has brewed??

I find it seems to taste better when made in a pot but rarely bother.

I brew in a light coloured cup so I can judge the strength (I like it strong but find you can't tell as well in a dark mug). Then I add milk, after the bag is out.

Sugar goes in last with a good stir, but I have a sweetener now so tend to chuck that in with the bag while the kettle's boiling.

There's a formula for making tea??? Shocked

I dont drink tea or coffee so when I make it its rank, people are generally polite though - except FIL who always declines my offer unless SMIL says she will go make it.

I always forget to offer people too. If I make tea I put tea bag in, then water then milk, then sugar.

Coffee is even harder as teaspoons can be dif sizes and blends can be different strengths. FIL near puked when he tried my coffee lol.
