| The seller will probably only let you pay palpal if you are having it delivered (most sellers wont take paypal for collections) , so if you don't get it when you should then you start a claim via paypal, the seller will have to prove that they sent it and you signed for it - if they can not the paypal will refund.
This can take a few weeks, as the seller has 10 days to reply to paypal requests! |

| Its a tricky one but to be honest a lot of star rating quite often is mistaken as a good selling history, you get stars and comments by buying so it could be that someone is good at buying items on ebay but could well be bad when it comes to selling if you know what I mean.
Its risky but best thing to do is send e-mails see how good responses are get more info on product etc.
Also Paypal are quite good its best way to pay on ebay in my opinion as they do refund, I have had several things refunded with errors or non-postage.
If you feel worried you could always suggest that you want it sent recorded delivery if you win and will pay a little more postage for this. |

| thanks. Its a icandy pear pushchair, so its alot of money I can afford to lose. but I am thinking well this person is selling and may not have used ebay before as its a big thing to sell (if im making sense?) umm dont know what to do... but like you say you can have someone with 90+% and still have trouble. its a gamble either way. OH wanted some big rat traps for his dad for the sheds & when they came were tiny mouse traps. we emailed to say had the wrong thing and he f and blinded at us for being thick we didnt read it said maybe different from picture! when we saw that we expected a different type of rat trap not punny mouse trap. he gave him neg feedback and swearing at us on the feedback! and looking since hes fould mouthed other people. argh makes me mad. so no noone can be trusted really |

| I guess everyone has to start somewhere, they do make you include paypal for the first 10 sells you do as you don't have any reputation as such. My friend is selling stuff for the first time (she's never bought anything either) but i sugested she sold a couple of smaller things to get her rating up first so people weren't so nervous about buying bigger more expensive items from her. |

| em, next time try using www.hammersnipe.com you sign up for free and put in your max bid and it places it for you in the last 10 seconds. It is really useful if you need to go out as you wont miss out on the item. I never bid until the last few seconds as i think its just pushing the price up more. |

Im the same , what is the point of everyone pushing it up - well good for the seller! I go 10 seconds and less, and my heart if racing if its something I really want! |
