Second is definatley worse, and even more so if its a girl.

I'm scared now! This one has been really awkward at both scans too and you can tell it already has an attitude hehe

maybe the second one seems worse because we are already weakened by the first?

Jade and MrsMB if it makes you feel better my sister (the second) slept all the time and my mum had to wake her for feeds and my niece (the second) just sat in her bouncy chair

Alright them mummies. Would you say that the "shock" of going from one to two is worse or less dramatic than going from no babies to one baby?

I wonder because the first time you've got to figure it all out as it's all new, the second time there's a lot of hindsight you can practice so you can be more laid back. On the other hand, how tiring was one baby and then you have to do that again but with a toddler clinging to your leg!

Wouldn't say we have had any terrible ones. Had a few tough times. Our eldest has never slept in the day even as a baby and had a severe tongue tie that although we asked about wasn't confirmed hence why from ten till six every night she was screaming. Tongue tie cut twice! Then it turned out doctor hadn't been sterilising equipment and she had to be tetsted for HIV etc. She's never been a great sleeper.

Number two is a bit more sensitive and only properly slept through in the last two months.

There's just over a year between the two but in all honesty I think you love em no matter what. All kids can have tricky moments and there are some shit times but you get through it. Plus Banda is always here for a good moan.

As for your other qu I found going from not being amummy to having 1 the bggest shock, its been tough adjustting to 2 but am more relaxed about a lot of things and its kinda slotted in bar the odd tough day
