| I didn't see it last night but I've watched it in the past. Some people are really mean and do rediculous things to save 3p per year. But some things on there are really good ideas and in the current economic climate I think it's good to try to save a bit of money.
My oh has told me that I need to cut back on what I spend on food shopping. In the past I could spend whatever I wanted now I've got to try not to go over £550 per month!!
Maybe we could share money saving tips. Also if anyone has any cheap but healthy recipes I'd love to know what they are.

| i think there are some recipes/money saving ideas in one of the sections but i dunno where it is now somewhere in errr lifestyle i think we dont go over £200 a month for the 3 of us but i think even that is a bit much really, we do buy junk that we dont need. |

| thanks Mari I'll have a look.
I know I could cut my spending down if I didn't buy treat type things, cake, ice cream etc but I don'want to cut this out. There are 5 in our house 4 of which eat adult meals. Plus it's soap powder, toiletries, loo roll, cleaning stuff that pushes the cost up. |

| I cant watch these sort of progs as they annoy me. I understand that we all have a budget and have to stick to it but i really cant stand out and out stinginess (i.e where people are just downright mean rather than actually strapped for cash) |

| Atm we are spending between £70- £90 a week but thats including nappies, wipes, cleaning things. I think we could cut back more.
A couple of months ago it was £100+ a week. We just made changes like buying value or tesco own brand were we can. There are some things I wont swap eg has to be heinz beans and coca cola but things like biscuits, soup, coleslaw, pasta, cereals, hand soaps etc I dont notice the difference. Also drinking squash instead of fizzy drinks all the time saves us a fortune. |

| we don't get nappies and wipes and stuff out of that though - and only buy laundry powder when things like baby events and stuff are on or get own brand in huuuuuuuge amounts so not every week (or even month atm as we have a 80 wash box of fairy). i think we probably save heaps on nappies as we only buy a box maybe every 6 weeks. http://www.babiesandall.com/f19-bargains-offers http://www.babiesandall.com/t8497-ooooohh http://www.babiesandall.com/f22-good-ideas i know gil and will had a good post from a while back but can't find it just now. our best plan was a shopping list/meal planner which we have started adding elijah to when we are having things he can eat too to get away from 'baby' food |
