you know when you really listen to a song and actually hear the lyrics? Well I've just done that and how beautiful is this?!;

This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath

No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again

Any one else have some favourite lyrics? x

my fav lyrics are songbird by eva cassidy

For you there'll be no crying
For you the sun will be shining
Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's alright, I know it's right

And the songbirds keep singing
Like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before

i had this to walk down the aisle to russ, because the words were exactly how i felt

I love the lyrics to Hooberstank - The Reason, they have a real personal meaning to me as it sums up a message I wanted to say to my o/h years ago when I did some silly things.
Also theres a Queen song called Love of my life which is a lovely song and I love the lyrics to it, not only that but you can really sense it means something to Freddie Mecury when he is singing it.

Hard Fi cash machine LOL....
Go to a cash machine
To get a ticket home
A message on the screen
Says don't make plans, you're broke
No, no this can't be right
I know that time is tight
I've only just been paid
Three weeks five days, till I'm seen
Right...
No...
I scratch a living, it ain't easy
You know it's a drag
I'm always paying, never making
But you can't look back
I'll wonder if I'll ever get
To where I want to be
Better believe it
I'm working for the cash machine

Iv been doing this a lot lately, hence me putting vids on youtube late at night.
My cousin went into hospital for a 4 weeks drug and alcohol rehabilitation program on Tuesday and I put this song on youtube as it felt like it meant something Robbie Williams Betterman

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better man

Go easy on my conscience
'Cause it's not my fault
I know I've been taught
To take the blame

Rest assured my angels
Will catch my tears
Walk me out of here
I'm in pain

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better man

I'm one of those people who love song lyrics and constantly listen and relate my life to lyrics. I have way too many to post Laughing I'm so emo.

this song will kind of spoke to me when i was a teen. makes me feel sad though.

She smiles through a thousand tears
And harbors adolescent fears
She dreams of all
That she can never be
She wades in insecurity
And hides herself inside of me

Don't say she takes it all for granted
I'm well aware of all I have
Don't think that I am disenchanted
Please understand

that song makes me bubble all the time too

i have too many im like shell relate song to events Smile

this one when ever i hear it makes me cry so much

She walks to school with a lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holding back;
Wearing the same dress she wore yesterday,
She hides the bruises with the linen and lace;
oh

The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask,
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask;
Bearing the burdon of a secret storm,
Sometimes she wishes she was never born;

Through the wind and the rain,
She stands hard as a stone in a world that she can't rise above;
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved.

Concrete Angel

Somebody cries in the middle of the night,
The neighbors hear but they turn out the lights;
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate,
When morning comes it will be too late.

Through the wind and the rain,
She stands hard as a stone in a world that she can't rise above;
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved.

Concrete Angel

A statue stands in a shaded place,
An angel girl with an upturned face;
Her name is written on a polished rock,
A broken heart that the world forgot.

Through the wind and the rain,
She stands hard as a stone in a world that she can't rise above;
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved.

We danced to Greatest Flame at our wedding:

Like shadows on the wall
You come and you go
Through the streets
And the rain that falls down
On our sin
No more good-byes
Forever this way
Whenever the greatest flame in the world
Starts burning

This is our life, and our time
And nothing, is ever going to break us
Now we're on our own

Always in your eyes
A waking of souls
We gaze out on the road
That brought us up
To this place
The signposts never change
We'll go where they lead
Whenever the day to break us comes
We'll not give in

This is our life, and our time
And nothing, is ever going to break us
Now we're on our own
This is our place, in our lives
And no one can ever change this moment
Or pull this mountain to the ground

Live the day when the flame is strong
Live the day when the flame is strong
Come the day when love is gone
Take it over, Take it over

Live the day when the flame is strong
Live the day when the flame is strong
Come the day when love is gone
Take it over

This is our life, and our time
And nothing, is ever going to break us
Now we're on our own
This is our place, in our lives
And no one can ever change this moment
Or pull this mountain to the ground

And the song we signed the register to was 'our' song, chasing cars
We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden
That's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden
That's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes
They're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things
Will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

I love these and can listen to it a thousand times

Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
Night is falling
You've come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore

Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

[Chorus]
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home

And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All souls pass

Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don't say: «We have come now to the end»
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again

And you'll be here in my arms
Just sleeping

[Chorus]

And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West

I adore The Spill Canvas lyrics. I don't think they are a very well known band here but they always manage to capture strong emotions perfectly. Some of their song actually make me cry.

for some reason natasha beddingfield song unwritten always makes me smile and go tingly(lol big sop i know) especially the chorus!!

feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you only you can let it in
no one else no one else can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
live your life with arms wide open
today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten!

another one that makes me well up evertime i hear it...an a few people can probibly relate to it
every step you take
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

[Puff] I miss you Big

[Verse Two: Puff Daddy]

It's kinda hard with you not around (yeah)
Know you in heaven smilin down (eheh)
Watchin us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Til the day we meet again
In my heart is where I'll keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need (uh-huh) to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts Big I just can't define (can't define)
Wish I coul turn back the hands of time
Us in the six, shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me taking flicks
Makin hits, stages they receive you on
Still can't believe you're gone (can't believe you're gone)
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living you're life, after death

this is the version we played at my uncles funeral, but the words are so fitting to anyone who has lost someone x

this is mine. it describes so many of my beliefs so well.

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone to fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me

[Chorus:]
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

[Chorus]

And if by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

Tony Rich Project - Nobody Knows
This is my song and always has been Smile

I pretended I'm glad you went away
These four walls closin' more every day
And I'm dying inside
And nobody knows it but me
Like a clown I put on a show
The pain is real even if nobody knows
And I'm crying inside
And nobody knows it but me

Why didn't I say
The things I needed to say
How could I let my angel get away
Now my world is just a tumblin' down
I can say it so clearly
But you're nowhere around

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about
The love that we had
And I'm missin' you
And nobody knows it but me

I carry a smile when I'm broken in two
And I'm nobody without someone like you
I'm tremblin' inside and nobody knows it but me
I lie awake it's a quarter past three
I'm screamin' at night as if I thought
You'd hear me
Yeah my heart is callin' you
And nobody knows it but me

How blue can I get
You could ask my heart
But like a jigsaw puzzle it's been torn all apart
A million words couldn't say just how I feel
A million years from now you know
I'll be lovin' you still

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about
The love that we had
And I'm missin' you
And nobody knows it but me

Tomorrow mornin' I'm hitting the dusty road
Gonna find you wherever, ever you might go
I'm gonna unload my heart and hope you come back to me
Said when the nights are lonely...

The nights are lonely, the days are so sad
And I just keep thinkin' about
The love that we had
And I'm missin' you
And nobody knows it but me

Or another song I love

R Kelly - The World's Greatest

I think it's a really clever song because it gets you singing that you are the worlds greatest Smile

"The World's Greatest"

Yeah,Uhh...
Uhh...
Yeah..
It's the worlds greatest, Yo,
It's the worlds greatest, Come on,
Worlds Greatest, Ever

I am a mountain
I am a tall tree
Oh, I am a swift wind
Sweepin' the country
I am a river
Down in the valley
Oh, I am a vision
And I can see clearly
If anybody asks u who I am
Just stand up tall look 'em in the Face and say

[Chorus]
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the worlds greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it mmm
I'm the worlds greatest

I am a giant
I am an eagle
I am a lion
Down in the jungle
I am a marchin' band
I am the people
I am a helpin' hand
And I am a hero
If anybody asks u who I am
Just stand up tall look 'em in the Face and say

[Chorus]
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
I made it
I'm the worlds greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the worlds greatest

In the ring of life I'll reign love
(I will reign)
And the world will notice a king
(Oh Yeah)
When all is darkest, I'll shine a light
(Shine a light)
And use a success you'll find in me
(Me)

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest

[*]
It's the greatest
Can you feel it
It's the greatest
Can you feel it

[Repeat * while:]
I saw the light
At the end of a tunnel
Believe in the pot of gold
At the end of the rainbow
And faith was right there
To pull me through, yeah
Used to be locked doors
Now I can just walk on through
Hey, uh, hey, hey, hey
It's the greatest
I'm that star up in the sky

I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest

Last one I promise

Ginuwine - Superhuman

"Superhuman"

I'd have to be strong
Stronger than a mountain baby
To not crumble at the touch of your hand, of your hand
I'd have to stop time
To stop this love inside me baby
To not reach each night for you
To not need you like I do

I'd have to be super human
Made out of stone, made out of steel
To not feel what I'm feeling
To not love you baby, love you baby
I'd have to have the strength of 10 men
To ever resist a love strong as this
To not care like I do
I'd have to be, have to be super human

I could possess all the greatest powers baby
I could hold the whole world here
In my hands, in my hands
And still I would be powerless to leave you baby
'Cause your touch is just too sweet
And I'm in this love so deep

I'd have to be super human
Made out of stone, made out of steel
To not feel what i'm feeling
To not love you baby, love you baby
I'd have to have the strength of 10 men
To ever resist a love strong as this
To not care like I do
I'd have to be, have to be super human

Even Hercules wouldn't have the strength to leave
Once he fell under the spell of your kiss
So how could I even try (tell me)
To leave your side and say goodbye baby...

I'd have to be super human
Made out of stone, made out of steel
To not feel what i'm feeling
To not love you baby, love you baby
I'd have to have the strength of 10 men
To ever resist a love strong as this
To not care like I do
I'd have to be, have to be super human

I'd have to be super human
Made out of stone, made out of steel
To not feel what i'm feeling
To not love you baby, love you baby
I'd have to have the strength of 10 men
To ever resist a love strong as this
To not care like I do
I'd have to be, have to be super human

I'd have to be super human
Made out of stone, made out of steel
To not feel what i'm feeling
To not love you baby, love you baby
I'd have to have the strength of 10 men
To ever resist a love strong as this
To not care like I do
I'd have to be, have to be super human

Just a beautiful song about true love Smile x
