In that snippet I posted (I may have missed it out) they do explain that they wrote it for the children but agreed to publish it for the money for the fund. Stuarts take on them finding madeleine is that they jet off to a Mediterranean country, speak to police/locals for a few days then lounge by the pool on a free holiday |

| Im still with babymilly on this... I wasn't actively researching into anything but still there are lots of things that the portugesse police found they they were told to not disclose to people and it seemed to be covered up. It took her nearly 2 hours to ring the police even though she said she rang them straight away? why? I dont like to think that they did and I'm sure if they did they regret it completely and it was a very tragic accident but it doesn't add up to me. |

| It didnt take her 2 hours to ring the police, the hotel rung them and they took ages and wasnt even the real police, more like miliyary police. She hasnt mention about drugging them either yet....but suspected that who ever 'came in' had sedated the kids. |

| Or maybe they were sedated earlier in the evening to stop them wingeing and to stop maddie shouting for her daddy. The woman in the next apartment had said she'd heard maddie shouting for daddy til 12.30am on a previous occasion?!? My maddie had been given too much? But that's just something I read! My oh asked me if there was anything interesting on the forum so I mentioned this thread and he said "oh no babe, please don't tell me you're making a dick out of yourself again"? Cheeky git! xx |

| Haha no your not making a dick out of yourself! Well from what the book says, her friend was in the next apartment. But if thats true thats awful and i agree even if they never usually woke up u still wouldnt leave them, even if your checking on them every half hour. After i read the book i might have a nosey on these forums as im really interested in it now. I just have a feeling that she is still alive...but who knows. |

| Im abit of the fence when i first read the details through papers i said to OH that nothing adds up they seem guilty but i just think it went quiet if they did it why would they be dragging it all up and searching for her again. One bit i thought was wierd i read in the paper is that her friend saw a person carrying a child there was even a pic of what they saw if that was me id be suspicious x |

| Babymilly you're not making a dick out of yourself. I was on another baby forum last night having a look and there is a few threads about it, most people seem to agree with you.
I have always thought they were innocent - but very reckless. I still dont believe they did it but then I havent read enough about it I suppose.
Im going against what a lot of other people seem to think but I do feel sorry for them. I have read people saying that they only feel sorry for maddy, not kate or gerry, even if they 'only' left her unattended. I would NEVER leave Caitlin alone like that but if they are innocent I think its horrible that they have to live with what they did for the rest of their lives. I think that is punishment enough. I dont think locking them up for child neglect/abandonment would have punished them any more or been of benefit to the twins.
Im getting the book and will hunt around other forums for more info (though im a bit skeptical of some things on forums because a lot of it is probably hear say or only half truths leaked from press/police. |

| Snoops there is a blog called 50 facts about madelein mccann, most stuff on there is quite reliable and is the stuff that came out at the time, such as cuddle cat been washed by Kate (she said it smelt of suntan lotion)!! Theres lots about the dogs stuff too. alot of the facts are shite to be honest and are about differences of statements and stories being changed but that I suppose could be human error! I like to see to see both sides - but I know which side of the fence I'm on. A lady I work with was really into it all and used to text me with updates, she was also part of three amigos. Ill email her on Monday and ask were its all up to. |

| I have the book and read 3 pages and then stopped. Must give it a proper go but im very over emotional atm and scared i'l end up a blubbing mess! A friend of a friend met them on holiday in Donegal about a month or 2 ago and said they were a lovely couple. They had a few playdates on the beach with their kids etc. Apparently they used to holiday in Donegal alot and kate wished they hadnt gone to Portugal. When they were leaving they gave the family a card with their address thanking them for their company that week - it was signed, Gerry, Kate, the twins names and Madeleine. |

| I dont know if they are innocent or guilty. I just know that had they not left their kids unattended it would never have happened in the first place. They are very well educated people and should surely be aware of the dangers of this. If you wanna socialise on holiday without kids, either dont have them, leave them at home, or get someone to watch them!!!! There is a pub at the end of my street, there is no way on this earth I would go there and leave my kids alone, so I certainly wouldn't do it in a foreign country!!! xx |

| exactly Pepper!! its shocking that they (and all the people they were with) thought that was ok! I wouldn't even pop to the shop that is literally on the other side of the road form my house leaving Tyler in it on his own never mind going out for a meal. |

| I heard that too, but still i would never leave them alone!! What if one of them wakes up and plays with hair straightners, or chokes on something, maybe runs the hot water and get scalded, opens a window and falls out, or what if a fire started. I know what mischeif my 2 can get up to when I walk into the kitchen and am 10 feet away,. That's before you worry about strangers abucting them!! So there is no way I would leave them alone ever!! xx |

| i feel there is more to her death. i feel that the parents did have some thing to do with it. but saying that i know it sounds horrid and cold hearted but who the *$%£ leaves her kids on their own in a room on hoilday while they go out for a meal or where ever they went!!!?!? it makes me sooo cross.
also it makes me cross, that there are soo many kids go missing which no one knows about/makes a fuss about, but they do a whole song and dance over this one..
sorry just my thoughts |

| the whole thing riles me to be honest and whilst I feel sorry for them completely they've lost a child that's so tragic, but at the same time I think they are completely irresponsible and don't really deserve everyones help, money and time. I stand by my thoughts that they had something to do with it, and they ahve tried (and as it stands, suceeded) in hiding it. I think for MAdeleine's sake I hope she has died because if not I can't imagine she's living a very nice life right now. |

| ive read the book. it is soo sad. but also quite eye opening. I started the book thinking ok I dont think they had anything to do with her going missing but they are disgraceful parents for leaving their children alone. to finishing the book and finding it very very hard to judge them - but then maybe thats why she wrote it.
that article is rubbish too - the whole book is about her its not an autobiography. she talks in the first chapter about how they met and the birth of their kids.
the book kind of turned me into a mess - I actually felt so much pain thinking of her and what she might be going through. I cant stop thinking about where she is now and actually part of me hopes she is dead. I really really hope they find her someday. I still dont think her parents did it.
very hard book to read - dont read if you are feeling emotional |
