| maybe this should be in conceiving but i thought i would get a few more answers here so do move it if needs be! did you conceive quickly the second time around, or was it a shock that you didn't fall straight away again? i have been pondering this as i got pregnant within 2 weeks of 'not trying but not not trying ' and it just occured to me that if we didn't 'not try' again it would probably drive me crazy if it took a few months.....so just wondering what peoples experiences were |

| ^that is also a consideration...this time we would only not not try if we were actually ready instead of thinking we had a good 6 months to wait til it happened... |

| With Caitlin I stopped taking the pill in August I think, had AF in Sept & again in Oct and then BFP in Nov - so whats that, 2-3 months maybe? (BD once a week maybe and no real thought about ovulating times) This time I came off mini pill in Dec/jan, didnt get AF back until March and then got BFP 4 wks later. So thats pretty much 1st go, I just had to wait for AF's to return. We didnt use OPK's, only BD once a week on average and I didnt even think about it being my fertile time or anything. I wasnt really properly ttc, just thought id see what happened! TMI moment - everytime after BD that month I went to loo and plopped the goo out as usual so I really was confused as to how I got pg - but hey ho I am! I frigging tortured myself in my early twenties that I was infertile as I had missed that many pills and never fell pg. Now Im starting to think im actually pretty bloody fertile and will be shitting myself after this one is born - def getting implant or something permanent! I wouldnt recommend waiting years, but I would wait until you 100% can cope with it happening that month - is anybody ever 1005 ready but?!!! I just mean it could happen faster than you think. Id a wee wobble shortly after I found out as I was expecting it to take 4-5 months and for me to get to the desperate broody stage. I wouldnt change it for the world of course, I just mean be sure you are ready. Actually *$%£ that - go get laid mari and make another beautiful baby |

| I got pregnant with Bethany the first time we tried so feel very blessed for that but I remember at the time reading that even if it happens very quickly the first time, when ttc in the future it may take longer. I wonder if part of it is because monthly cycles can change abit after having a baby. Before Bethany I could set my watch by when AF was due, no word of a lie it would usually be midday on day 28 but now my cycle can be anything from 24-28 days, so it can be more difficult to be spot on with the most fertile time. I think that's one of the reasons I got pregnant so quickly as I was spot on with when I was going to be fertile...although John would problem say it was his super sperm!! |

| hmmmmmmmmmmmm well i still don't even have af (although i know that isn't necessarily definite that no babies could be made!). i just cant imagine how impatient i would be, i think i have just been expecting it to be just as easy, but what if it isn't? well, i suppose if it isn't at least we have one particularly handsome little monkey haha |

| We've been very lucky, both times I came off the pill, waited for af then started trying and fell straight away. I have absolutely no patience though and went about it like a military operation both times It worked though! xxx |

| I wasn't Trying with tommy but I fell while on the pill and was only with his dad for a short while when I fell so that was pretty good going I suppose. With Charlie all in all it probably took 8 months, the first 6 were see how it goes and then I started tracking my temperatures and got my bfp the second month. I was actually suprised and obsessed and upset that I didn't get pg in the first 6 months.

| We fell pg straight away both times. I had come off the pill with my first and was waiting for af - it never arrived! Then the second time i was really worried that i would get impatient as we never had to actually 'try' the first time, but again we fell pg in the first month. |

| First time took 4 months from wedding to bfp.. we hadn't talked about trying, just kinda happened ... 2nd took 2 years of no protection and the last 8 months of that actualyl trying.. I have never sat charting temps, days etc.. with my 3rd, we had spoken about children and a month later got bfp |

| hmm i dont think next time we would pay much attention to ov etc (certainly not if we were not not trying before af came back cos that would be impossible haha) until about 6 months - having said that i know how impatient i am and i would probably have all kinds of methods going on by month 2 or 3 haha it does seem like some people fall quite easily though?! |

| Aimee - I had come off the pill in January as we wanted it to be out of my system for 18 months before ttc. We therefore had the odd 'accident' but avoided ttc until we were ready. Well, on the 3rd month of 'being safe' we had an accident and I fell pregnant. Lily - My afs were lasting from 31 to 47 days and we were trying for 8 months (4 cycles) and then I fell pg. I was using OPK's and watching for OV signs. Bump - we were 100% avoiding getting pregnant and I hadnt had any OV signs... but... it obviously happened with one accident. James now thinks he has super sperm! x |

| i came off the pill in the January but used condoms for 3 months to get it out the system, I'd been on it for 17 years so was worried t would take forever but was pg 2 months later.
My friend got pg after a couple of months with her first but took her 2 years to concieve the second one. |
